It's a better version of overwatch, which doesn't really say much. Good if you're looking for another lame hero shooter, bad if you want to play an actual game.

The perfect game to grab some friends, hop on for a couple hours every now and then, have some shts and giggles, and enjoy sessions with no modern-day 2023 gaming bullsht like abhorrent matchmaking or seasonal FOMOs.

Simple yet amazing game that anyone can enjoy, both with friends or random players. Bracken my beloved.

Editing this review over to simplify it. Game is fun at its core, but has suffered 5 years of devs' negligence and greed. Cheating continues to make the game unplayable while the devs continue to wave expensive lazy skins with none of the money going back into the game to improve it. And more recently, they turned the $10 battlepass into an annual subscription of $80/yr, it does not refund itself, you have to buy each BP with your own cash and spend twice as long to complete it each season. Kindly, Respawn, keep yourself safe.

I was a deadbeat loser with no friends or goals in life before buying this game.

Incompetent trash developers that can't balance a game for their life. Years of poor updates only to release cashgrab DLC weapons because their garbage store couldn't make enough revenue alongside their egregious copy paste lootboxes stolen from CSGO. HOE became a joke over the years where difficulty is artificial and every class excels at everything, yet they keep nerfing difficulties and buffing classes/guns to make it easier for casuals.

Skins and DLC aside, this game's optimization became piss poor over time, where crashes and bugsplats will haunt you as if they're a feature of the game, and a lot of this is because of the assets and skins the game has to individually load every time you launch. Shame to see how deep in the dirt this game's dug itself into.

Can't wait for them to announce KF3 in 2021 to have it be an Epic Game Store Exclusive for a year because they can't keep their filthy grubby fingers off the cookie jar.
