So here's the deal. Is this the most perfect product of all time? No. But what it is, is exactly where it should be. Playing this game sent me back to early WoW (maybe burning crusade) in the sense that there is a really solid game here but the potential is what excites me. MMOs need to start somewhere so they can grow with their player base, and that's exactly what I get out of this game. It feels like a great start that I hope continues to build.

More specifically I want to call out the character progression. The "no class" system works immensely well. With a weapon leveling system akin to ESO and character attributes to invest in like D&D, I still feel invested in a path but I get to define that path. And sure, you can (over time) learn to level up multiple weapons (if not all) there are only a few that will be the most effective for you based on how you chose to level your attributes. So there is variety, but also discipline for those looking to min/max. In its current state, it feels like I have creative control with guidelines. Which is like a breath of fresh air from MMOs that have the "This is the only build/rotation worth running" model.

Only an hour in and can say I enjoy it. If you like the Diablo series you'll like this game. Mechanically it's basically the same, with some differences. The dual classing system and the leveling trees make it feel different enough from Diablo. Ultimately, once you are done with D3, you can start playing this game and feel like you're hopping directly into a sequel game. And right now with the summer sale? Why not pick it up.
