What an amaizng game.

The puzzle design is, for the most part, excellent. Although some of them felt a bit obtuse and illogical, they were not impossible, and the game made up for it with the story and intrigue. The way everything ties together at the end was fantastic.

If you're interested in playing it, I'd definitely advise to go into it as blind as possible, don't look anything up. It gave me a similar sense of discovery as Outer Wilds, Obra Dinn, or Tunic.

I have mixed feelings on The Quarry.
On one hand, it's a pretty great narrative horror game, with lots of choices and branching paths, and some outcomes being pretty hard to get to, even if you know what you have to do. It's also graphically impressive, both visually and technically. The facial animations are top-notch, and the acting on all the characters is spectacular, which is to be expected, since they got some really good Hollywood actors.
On the other hand, 90% of the characters are legitimately annoying and unlikable, and the story itself, while pretty good, was very predictable. It's very reminiscent to Supermassive's best game so far (in my opinion), Until Dawn. Bunch of dumb, annoying teenagers get stuck in a remote location, spookiness ensues, they have to survive until morning. It even has the twist of a character that at first glance seems evil, but then is revealed to be trying to help.
One other thing I enjoy is that you have to make some counter-intuitive choices in order to get a good outcome for some of the characters, so always hitting all the QTE's to perfection might not be the best thing to do necessarily, and sometimes you might have to miss some for best results.

In conclusion, you should play The Quarry if you're into narrative, choice-driven games, and/or Supermassive's other works. I haven't played any of the Dark Pictures Anthology so I can't speak on that, but as I said, this has big Until Dawn vibes (which is also coming to PC soon), which is not necessarily a bad thing. If you liked Until Dawn, you'll enjoy this as well.

I initially wanted to play this because a lot of people said it reminded them of Outer Wilds, which is my favorite game ever.
This game is absolutely fantastic! While it may be a bit short (I managed finish it in an evening), the puzzles are incredibly ingenious, and I personally felt like the difficulty was perfect, as I never managed to get stuck on a part for longer than 5-10 minutes, while still having that excellent puzzle feeling of "how the hell did I manage to do this?".

I would definitely recommend puzzle fans to play this. Maybe not at full price, so maybe wait for a sale before jumping on it, but definitely keep it in mind.

Binding of Isaac is a very good game. It's one of those games that you always come back to. It's basically a "roguelite", as some people like to call it. Basically, death is permanent, and you restart from the beginning every time you die. The thing is , you unlock more items as you progress, and there are literally hundreds of them, and a lot of them synergize with each other. The rooms and items are randomized each time you start a new run, so no two runs will be the same (except if you use a seed, of course)

Also, if you decide you want to buy the game, definitely get the Afterbirth DLC, as it adds a metric f*ckton of stuff, and it makes the game infinitely better. I can't say anything about AB+, as I haven't played it, but I heard it mostly just makes the game unnecessarily harder.

Get this game.

Also, platinumgod.co.uk is your friend while playing this.
