I'm giving this a thumbs up under the assumption that a optimization patch is gonna happen eventually. Had to install a mod to fix it myself which sucked big time. It's predecessor is one of my favorite games of all time, and while I'm sad I don't get to see familiar faces due to the story retcon, it's still good in its own way.
Pros:
+ Has that stiff learning curve that everyone wants out of soulslikes
+ Each weapon type has its own strengths and weaknesses unlike the first where the effectiveness was skewed into about two 2 types.
+Can be (mostly) played like CV1 if you don't feel like figuring out new mechanics. (swapping the control map of the bumpers and triggers helped)
+You get engaged to a cute tomboy redhead,
(+/-} Little more serious and less cheesy story than CV1
(+/-) Combat is almost thrice as fast as the first game
Cons
-Healing takes 3-5 business days and the bosses auto target you when you try
-Partner AI has an aneurism when fighting big mobs
-The lighting when it's morning in game is blinding
-Map and quest UI's are super unintuitive
-YOU HAVE TO PARRY MULTIPLE ****ING TIMES TO BE ABLE TO RIPOSTE, LIKE WHAT THE HELL MAN!?
Anyways, game is a flawed masterpiece just like the first but I love it anyways. I'd wait for either the optimization patch, or a sale though. (for now)

The story is neat and the fighting is responsive enough, but my biggest gripe is that there's not a lot of freedom in the build process. You cant really mix up the fighter archetypes they give you. Every build I tried it kinda felt mediocre. If the skill/talent point system was a little less stingy and you had more to work with this game would be baller. I give it a 7/10, decent enough game.

A certified hood classic that is better than it's own remake tenfold.

Really good open world game. A lot of fun. Has this Texan's seal of approval. only complaint was having to log in to Rockstar's service even playing offline. I just wanna be an Mf'n cowboy why do I gotta log in just to do that?
8.5/10

It's like Dark Souls except the bosses and the players roles are flipped. What a Dark Souls boss is to a player you are to the demons. 10/10

Solid game. Could have done without all the expository dialogue but I'll always upvote a good souls-like.
