Better game than Emissary zero. So that's a plus.

The game is unacceptably buggy in multiplayer. Key items can go missing if you saved at the wrong time. Literally had one save completely bricked because the leaver in the lab was missing. It wasn't just we saved it in a bad spot, it was completely gone.

In addition it relies too much on enemy spamming towards the end. For everything the game does well, it is ruined by just the constant random crap being thrown at you all the time. It becomes frustrating after a while. It isn't scary because you're just busy dying to random crap jumping at you all the time.

Fun, but do have some gripes. A big problem I've kind of observed is that the balance in the game feels a bit...strange?

I don't particularly think that the survivor-raider balance in terms of "impossible to win" with either, but it feels like whoever gets an early advantage just snowballs the game. Sometimes the survivors just get all the keys early or get all the dragon balls quickly and the raider just has no hope of catching up. Item distribution sometimes just screws the killer immediately before he has any hope of leveling up. Other times the Raider gets a few early kills and you just simply don't have enough people to fight him.

As a survivor most of the items either feel OP as hell or useless beyond belief. I've seen times where you can literally burn everything and the killer is still able to just run you down. Then you get some of the better items and abilities in the game and it feels too easy to get away when it's up.

I think the decision to make it a 7 survivor game made it so either the survivors snow ball when they got everyone up or they're just too weak to do anything to the raider.

Good fun especially if you are just playing with friends, but does need a bit of work.

If you got a good job or want to make this your job, it's a great game. If you have neither it can kind of suck.

Digging, blowing up bugs, and other assorted mayhem. What more could you ask for?

Fun, but seriously the portal mechanics need work.

The game play overall is fairly good and the gun mechanics are pretty similar to halo so if you like Halo you'll probably like this.

That said the major fun killer is the portal mechanics even though that's the game's main gimmick. The problem isn't that they exist, but they're not put in the game very well at the moment. For starters the portals are so blasted quiet that it's insanely hard to hear when one has been placed next to you. I've had times where I'm literally standing next to the wall the portal got placed and you can't hear it over the normal game noise! That's just a bad way to have the mechanic. The number of times you'll be like "WTF? There's a portal there?!" is insane and on some maps it leads to just downright frustrating gameplay. Second problem the main way to deal with Portals, the EMP grenade, is way too slow compared to how fast you can place a portal. You'll have moments where you literally close a portal and less than a second later it's right back up. There's zero cooldown or protection from someone just reopening it yet grenades are slow and limited. Then you add on the fact that you can't shoot back easily apart from blind spam at someone on the other side of the portal and the portal mechanic just feels so cheesy. You rarely feel like "oh wow that was a cool portal!" and more like "ugh there was another freaking portal there"

The gun play and party modes is still very fun and still makes the game fun to play in spite of the portals, but damn do the portals need some huge work. A few tweeks and they would be in a good place, but it's just where they're is more frustrating than fun.

Early Access Review
If you like ghost hunting games this is a pretty good new comer to the genre. Still a bit early and still need some more polish, but pretty fun base package with room to grow.

Solid, but it feels like a missed opportunity.

The game is still Subnautica and still has a lot of the charm. The environments look great and have always had good visuals. However, the game just missed the mark. There were problems with glitches, flat story, and also things that were too similar to the original game. There were also problems with the design of the ice area being insanely frustrating.

The game is still good, but I kind of wish there was just another layer of polish. It was almost there, but there was just an empty feeling at the end.
