Balti Bhujon was set up by Mr Abdul Hannan in 2000 and is a family run business; members of the team are his sons and son in law. Mr Hannan has been living and catering for the Maldon community since the early 70’s. He was the first person to introduce Maldon to the authentic and traditional flavours of India and Bangladesh. Balti Bhujon is the largest Indian restaurant in Maldon with a seating capacity of 104 persons. The staff are highly trained and with traditional service skills. The culinary delights are very traditional with old style recipes which can be adapted to customer needs; our spices are of the highest quality sourced from the best known suppliers. Our poultry and meat is all certified 100 percent halal (kosher) by our suppliers which are sourced locally. Our commitment is to provide a high standard of service with quality, quantity and value for money. We have always kept our price on food at half the menu price to enable everyone no matter what their budget to enjoy the experience of dinning at a traditional Indian restaurant. We have hosted many charity events in the local community e.g. The Army Benevolent Fund, McMillan cancer research and children’s charities abroad which are our main charity as Mr Hannan travels to Bangladesh every year to personally help the children there. We cater for large parties and have held quiz nights at the restaurant and also cater for outdoor parties. We rarely advertise as all our business comes from recommendations. We also have a take away service that is also at half price but is only available for collection only.
