And behold,the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself in the river,and her maids walked by the river’s brink,and when she saw the basket in the sedges,she sent one of her maids for it.

看啊，法老的女儿来到河边沐浴。她的侍女们沿岸而行，她发现莎草中的篮子，便让一位侍女去取。

And when it was brought,she opened it,and saw within an infant crying.And having compassion on it,she said,this is one of the babes of the Hebrews.

取过来后，她打开篮子，发现篮子里有婴儿在哭泣。她十分同情那婴儿便说，这是希伯来人的孩子。

And she adopted him for a son,and called him Moses,saying,because I took him out of the water.

她收养了孩子，并取名摩西。说到因为他是我从水里捡来的。

One day,after Moses had grown up,he went out among his people and saw their afflivtion.He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew,his brethren.

摩西长大后他走入人群中，发现他们很痛苦。他看到一个埃及人打他的希伯来同胞。

Looking this way and that way,and seeing no people,Moses slew the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.

他四处打量发现没有人，摩西便杀死了埃及人，埋藏在沙土里。
