Gaijin sucks massive, dangling, greasy, smelly, hairy balls and it's a shame that a game with so much potential is being run by the most ugly money hungry ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that the game industry has to offer alongside EA.

Like, I'll pay big bucks for a smoking hot blonde to slob on my knob, but Gaijin isn't a smoking hot blonde, and they aren't slobbing on my knob. They're a back alley dumpster racoon that's trying to simultaneously steal my wallet and give me a lobotomy on my way home from the grocery store.

Game is alright, game developer sucks. 1/10

At face value this game isn't terrible. A realistic arcade shooter that doesn't pretend to be competitive or flawless.

But the more hours you rack up the more apparent it becomes that this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unless you've played thousands of hours of the first Insurgency and/or Sandstorm. For every decently balanced lobby with a bunch of people trying to have fun and ♥♥♥♥ talking each other on the mic, there's several more full of sweaty basement dwellers that reached unimaginable levels in game, teamed up with other vampiric m'good-boys in groups of 4 or 5, and proceed to wipe the floor with a bunch of newer players. For multiple matches in a row.

You'd think the fact that it isn't fun to steamroll a match would deter this degenerate behavior but apparently there's some sick sense of satisfaction the more toxic veterans of this remarkably small community get from sticking their deeply cavitated fangs into people trying to get a grasp of the game and sloppily sucking all the fun out of them.

The result is a unique and deeply frustrating experience compounded by the already high skill curve of this game. There's no support community here, you're either insanely good and ♥♥♥♥ all over the other players, bad at the game and constantly get your cheeks clapped, or lucky/cheesing to get by without wanting to jump off the nearest cliff.

I could talk about the decent graphics, good level design, fantastic sound mechanics, and fun customization options that this game offers, but all of that is overshadowed by the community and matchmaking system. Balance doesn't exist and the devs respond by releasing meme game modes and cosmetics.

Maybe it's worth $15 if you have friends to play with, but you're better off buying 3 burritos or cyberpunk for 50% off than you are buying this game full price.

2/10 most tilted I've been in any shooter since I played CSGO on a laptop

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is a very good thematic shooter. The player models, the weapons, the terminology, the maps, are all reminiscent of the Vietnam war.
However, as a historical shooter it's far too arcady, and there's no game modes that immerse you in the type of warfare that was prevalent in the Vietnam war. It's a curious cross between COD, Battlefield, Arma, and Squad. You're either attacking or defending a set of points on territories, or you're engaged in a tug of war for points in supremacy. Either way, not exactly immersive in my experience.
As a shooter in general it's a very good game, despite lacking some polish. Weapons feel meaty and enemies actually react when they get hit, there's bullet travel and various velocities to keep the aim skillcap interesting, and the cap on how many roles you can have on a team per map is a perfect way to balance the distribution of firepower.
Most of the maps are quite well designed but the ones that aren't well designed are an absolute pain for everyone. And unfortunately the game isn't getting a lot of support from the devs anymore, so most of the existing problems with maps and bugs are here to stay.
All in all, good FPS game. Worth the money, even more worth it if you can get it on sale. The community is one of the best I've found in smaller games.

Best medieval melee based combat game out there. Unfortunately, it has the same symptoms as Chivalry and I doubt the playerbase will survive more than a year or so into the future.

Early Access Review
> in a squad with 3 friends, all in discord messing around
> walking along a hedgerow somewhere in France
> hear distant gunfire and the sound of bombers overhead
> come to a gap in the hedgerow
> not expecting an ounce of enemy presence
> out of nowhere the guy in front of us gets hit directly with a panzerschreck
> body parts flying everywhere
> everyone is screaming and running for cover
> we're now stopped in our tracks cowering behind a hedgerow
> grenade lands at our feet
> respawn 500 miles away and start the 3 hour run to the front lines
> 11/10 game, would recommend

Only buy this game if it's on sale and you either really like GTA campaigns or you're willing to mod or spend hours grinding to become part of the 1% in GTA online, because that's the only percentage worth being. Rockstar rewards people who pay to win and if you're poor you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

First of all, this is a Bethesda title, which means you should buy it without question.

If you still care about pros and cons and all that, read on:

Pros
- stunning graphics
- dynamic gunplay
- the story is decent
- the maps are incredibly well done
- straightforward gameplay
- the music (deserves it's own paragraph)

Cons
- the story is decent, not good or great
- the missions get bland about halfway through the game

I picked up this game on sale, because I'd seen gameplay before and thought "what the hell (pun intended,) might as well try it". So I did, and I was blown away. There is no better way to dispell stress than by slaughtering hordes upon hordes of demons like the total badass the protagonist is. And boy oh boy, does the game give you the best ways to kill demons. There's a wide variety of weapons in the game, ranging from your fists to a gun that boils the insides of every demon in the near vicinity. Each gun has a unique perk and is best suited to certain situations and enemies. There are enough to keep the game interesting without there being so many that you lose track of the keybindings.
The environment of the game is magnificent. The maps maintain a certain amount of uniqueness despite the entire game taking place in only two environments. There's a great mix of close quarters, open spaces, verticality, and parkour options. Explosive barrels placed on some maps allows you greater freedom in choosing how to dispatch the hell spawn. The music is remade from the original doom soundtracks, and adds another level of badass to each major fight. It wouldn't be a Bethesda game if it didn't have the best possible soundtrack.
The missions are pretty straightforward, my only complaint is that after a while they become stale as you end up doing the same thing over and over again. That really shouldn't matter though. If you bought this game expecting a riveting and complex story, you made a mistake.

TLDR; Wanna storm hell with a variety of weapons and turn it into your own personal demon hunting reserve? Wanna do that while listening to super heavy metal? Do you ever get home after work or school, tired, salty, and stressed, and want to alleviate all that by smashing in demon's heads with your fists? Buy this game, I promise you won't regret it.

Like CSGO but much better.

- Recoil patterns are realistic, making it important to adjust your aim in real time instead of mechanically following a set pattern.
- Every weapon will kill you in one shot if it hits you in the head.
- The objectives can be in any of two or so places on every map, making games dynamic and fun. If you don't find it with your drone, be prepared to clear every room.
- Drones: best idea in an FPS like this to every exist. Attackers use them at the beginning of the round to scout out the map and try to find the objective while the defenders set up, and many operators can throw them out during the game as well to scout out an area.
- Sounds: I'm not an experienced critic by any means, but the sound in this game is fabulous. The guns don't all sound alike, certain attachments make a serious difference, and the explosions make me cream my pants every time.
- Attachments: there's not too many, and not too few. Each does something different, allowing for many different play styles with the same weapon.
- Gadgets: -In the 7 hours I've played I have yet to see an unbalanced gadget, which is surprising- On second thought, Fuze's gadget is pretty ridiculous. Every operator has a useful gadget, meaning that there's no such thing as a useless operator.
- There are plenty of maps, all the perfect size, all with many many options to breach. With a nearly completely destructible environment the maps never get old.
- Grenades: They're not OP, and very useful in some situations. However, they're NOT so useful that everyone spams, which is great! One of the reasons I like this game so much is the lack of grenade spam.
- Skins: They can be bought with renown, which is earned every game. You can buy fancy ones for real money but for the most part every skin involves some decent grinding.
- Seasonal operators cost a lot of renown but are well worth it, bringing something new to the already extensive operator pool.
- The community is great, little to no toxicity, you get teams that work together pretty frequently, and you can always find help. My guess is that most of the squeakers and toxic losers either don't have the skill to play this game or got reported enough times to be banned XD
- It's not hard on the hardware. I have a GTX 1060 with 8 mb of RAM and an i5 6600. I can run the game on ultra without any issues whatsoever, running at well over 100 FPS. A friend of mine can run this game at 70 fps on a GTX 970. An SSD is useful but not required, just be prepared to explain yourself if you take too long to load in. Everyone gets to wait for you to compile the map files.

This game is swiftly replacing CSGO as my favorite FPS, and it is well worth the $40 for the full version. Whatever you do, DO NOT get the Starter Edition, it makes the grinds so much harder you'll probably want to commit suicide. And you only saved $25.

11/10
