Although the port of this game isn't perfect, it's not even that great due to some issues with the online, this game is something to remember. You'll remember having good times with your friends before touching this game, only to never speak to them again after. The amount of betrayal, RNG ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and gloating this game causes is baffling. Been playing this game with people since it came out on the Nintendo Wii and will continue to play it with people until I have no friends left.

The Binding of Isaac has been one of my favorite games on Steam ever since I got it. Afterbirth was a pretty decent DLC that had some problems, but I could look over them due to it having some of my favorite new items released in the game. Afterbirth+ was pretty average as a DLC, but did allow for mods to spread much easier. Repentance is the DLC that really pissed me off.

First off, the item pools are supposed to be really big, yet I have been seeing the same 40-50 items every run I've played. Trying to unlock Bethany has been one of the most aggravating experiences I've had with this game apart from completing the Keeper. Having to use Lazarus without his main gimmick is just awful. Lazarus without dying first is basically Isaac before he gets D6 with creep when he gets hit. So you're playing the base character with a terrible item pool.

Second, the balancing they implemented has made the less desirable items less garbage, but they are still not good. However, some good items are nerfed to the point that they fall into the pile of worthless items. An example of this would be Serpent's Kiss. Before repentance, Serpent's Kiss would give some of your tears a special poison effect that on hit, would give the enemy a permanent debuff that would give the enemy a 20% chance to drop a dark heart on death. Now, Serpent's Kiss's ability only works if the poison kills the enemy. This doesn't sound bad, but the poison does little to no damage, so getting a kill with it rarely happens. If you fire it at an enemy with low health, like a fly, the tear will kill it, but if you fire it at something with more health, the poison will dissipate before it can kill the enemy. There are other items that were tanked because of this update, but Serpent's Kiss was the one that really got to me. Serpent's Kiss wasn't a run winning item, nor was it something that could save a run guaranteed. Serpent's Kiss was an item that could help you get a bit of health when you're low, yet it's been ruined.

Third, the changes made to how the Antibirth content works weren't necessary. In the Downpour and the Mines, you have to complete objectives that give you knife pieces to fight the DLC's final boss. In the original mod, the knife pieces were held behind puzzles that would spawn the corresponding knife piece when completed. In Repentance however, the puzzles are replaced with different areas you go into to find the knife pieces. This doesn't sound bad, but Downpour's knife piece is hidden behind a mirror that once you walk into a white fire, you become a spirit and can go in. It is then just a reflected version of the floor, which just feels lazy. There's no actual challenge other than being a multiple life lost while in the mirror world. In the Mines, you must press buttons throughout the floor which build a railroad track that brings you to a different area. Once you're in this area, you make your way to the knife piece and, once you pick it up, a floating face chases you throughout the area until you make your way back to the mines. Instead of requiring thinking, you can just find what's different from the 1st floor of each respective area and do it.

Lastly, the hype around this DLC was more than the other two, due to Antibirth being a really good mod overall. I thought that they would be able to implement all of the Antibirth content and add some nice changes to make the game the best it could be, but they made the worst DLC Isaac has had, even topping Afterbirth+'s launch. I haven't enjoyed much at all of this DLC which, for $15, is not worth it in the slightest. If you want to have fun with The Binding of Isaac, don't get this DLC.

Erm, this game sucks my fat hog, not playing ever again. Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, will play bad company 2 instead. Agent skins that cost $50 that have big sopping titties do not make up for it. Also, spray pattern, more like spray my ♥♥♥♥ on the bathroom stall. Avoid sinking your hands into the bucket of semen that is Counter Strike 2, lest you need your hands cleansed. Would I rather have a catheter inserted or play one round of this game? Hard question, because catheters hurt, but I'd have to think about it, come back and ask me in a bit. Counter Strike? More like counter offer I'd like a refund. Every time I hear the Denzel Curry - Ultimate music kit I want to smash my testicles into a fine paste. I will only return to this living hell if they add a Kendrick Lamar music kit, specifically Money Trees.

I have really enjoyed the online mode on this game. I enjoy just running my friends over and going around the world in a car such as the scramjet. The only problems I have with this game are the doomsday heists and the customer support. The doomsday heists are either boring or infuriating depending on which one you do. The first two doomsday heists are easy, but boring, while the third one is really difficult (for a good reason) and has me spending multiple days of attempts on hard to beat it for the first time. The customer support is terrible. I bought the Maze Bank Arena on the sale price, but didn't receive it do to an error. It took me several days of back and forth messages with rockstar support before they just deposited the money back into my account. Other than these two flaws, I really enjoy this game and would recommend it to all of my friends.
