This game is challenging, but in a cheap way that makes it difficult to call fun. Some levels require strict memorization while in other levels the physics of the game can glitch out when it clearly shouldn't, causing certain sections to be more difficult than they were on other consoles.

I would only recommend picking up this game if you wanted a blast of nostalgia, otherwise just pick up geometry dash. It costs just a little more for infinitely more content and, more importantly, a fun level of difficulty.

It's difficult for me to describe everything I liked in this game, because honestly if I were to do that I would basically be describing the entirety of the game.

If you are looking into picking up this game, I feel like I should warn you. Make you sure have 1-3 weeks free with essentially nothing else planned, because this is a game that will suck you in and you will do basically nothing else but play and think about Persona 5 until you beat it, and even then you will constantly think back to it, whether that be the stellar music, interesting NPCs, or maybe something else that means a lot to you.

10/10, recommend to anyone who has the time.

This game is easy to learn (if it doesn't make you sick when playing it from motion sickness) but hard to beat, and even harder to master. I would recommend watching a few clips of the game, seeing if you feel sick before picking this up. If you don't, then I highly recommend picking up this game as the satisfaction of beating each level is massive.

Developers poured their heart and soul into this game, and it can easily be seen when playing. While it may not be perfect (9-9.5/10) you can tell that the developers truly cared about the end product and it is a great springboard for future games.

This was a very interesting game for me. I bought it because the aesthetic intrigued me and I have been looking for more RPGs to try. This one is able to fit a decent story into a short playtime (for me, about 13 hours to beat), which I was relieved by because the beginning of the game had me worried. If you have a problem with unlikable protagonists, then if you pick up this game give them the benefit of the doubt and continue playing, because for me they got easier to put up with.

The music was incredible and the aesthetics were amazing, and if you are a completionist like me then this game should be great for you, as it never feels too grindy even as you near the end of the achievement list.

8/10 from me. If you pick this up, I think you will fall in love with the atmosphere and have a wonderful few days.

This game, while fun at first, becomes very monotonous very quickly. If you want to play this I highly recommend waiting until this game is heavily discounted, around 75%-80%. Otherwise I believe it to be a waste of money.

I'm not going to go on for paragraphs and paragraphs about this game, all I need to say is that I personally believe this is one of, if not the best game made in recent memory.

So I saw this game on sale for very cheap (75% off), and I liked what I saw from the developers so I decided to purchase this game (knowing it had mixed reviews for things like repetitive gameplay and things like that).

What I didn't expect to run into was that the first time I close the game and try to reopen it, I can no longer access my local game files and I have no chance to play anymore. I checked discussion pages and turns out I am far from the only person who ran into this issue, and everyone else who ran into it got no help from the developers.

So what I'm saying here is that you are paying however much money for one session of mediocre gameplay and hope that if you are an achievement hunter like I am, that you can put in the time necessary to get everything done in one long session.

Now if the developers were helpful in fixing this issue, like maybe posting a guide on how to fix this common issue on a discussion page, then by all means I would like to see more than 30 minutes of this game, just so that I can write a review on something other than a technical problem.

I find this game to be fun for say, about five minutes. Sure you can get some enjoyment out of shooting some green monsters with various weapons, but that is the only good thing I can say about it. While the controls are mostly responsive, the lag between landing on a platform and being able to jump has killed me more times than I can count while playing this game.

So play it with a group of friends, have those five minutes. While fun for that amount of time don't expect to fall in love

This is a great game. Love not only the Shovel Knight Story, but Plague Knight and Specter Knight as well. This is also fun multiplayer, just wish you could play Specter Knight multi-player.
