Might be the greatest game of all time

I love this game.

Incredible game with innovative gameplay

Incredible game but the ending fight was wildly unbalanced.

Fantastic game with some clearly incomplete areas. The port is decent but doesn't seem to be doing anything the original wasn't.

Amusingly amateur

In a lot of ways this game doesn't hold up, what with its tank controls as well as the quite annoying quick time events but the camp dialogue and crazy villains create a game so unique as well as interesting to play that it's no wonder people are still recommending it.

This game has quickly rose into one of my favourite games of all time because of all of the things it does so well.

The biggest assets that this game has is its incredibly enrapturing story that, although it somewhat weakens right at the end stays very consistently great throughout the game. The story is very complex and is reminiscent of a soap opera in the fact that it throws so many curveballs at you to the extent that even after finishing it I'm not sure who was the main villain (thats a positive for me btw). The other big positive of this game is all its slightly camp and very japanese substories which stay entertaining throughout the entire game.

Some things it doesn't do well is that the story at the end does drag on a bit and some of the combat is overdone and it can get a bit annoying when the final boss has 4 health bars.

Those faults withstanding, this game has such a serious story mixed with incredibly weird and interesting minigames and substories that it's a must play for anyone who values story and fun over big open worlds and 4k textures.
