EDIT: Capcom has now removed the DRM and performance is restored. I am more than happy to recomend this game now. Resident Evil 4 was one of my favourite games of the PS2 era, and was my first venture into the Resident Evil franchise. This remaster feels faithful to the original with moden expanded set pieces.


Origonal review: This pains me to post as I love this game, but unforunately CAPCOM have decided to replace the DRM on a 3 year old game with new DRM that has reduced performance and introduced stutters. At this point why not remove the DRM entirely? currently you are only punishing your paying customers.

I was excited for RE9, but now I am hesitant they will do the same for that game after its no longer new.

Brillantly made game, Note I have played for more hours then steam has tracked

From the story to the performance, this is a worthy remake.

Textures look wonderful
Performance is crazy good, best Crossfire Performance I've had, almost doubled Frame rates at max settings
Story is great, and controls are friendly to both mouse and keyboard
