Where in hell am I supposed to obtain my own working copy of the game?
If there is a functional copy of the game available, what have they been working on for the past decade?

I would love to ask them these questions but I have been restricted from posting to their discord until I provide SMS verification, which I will not do, and the website is not open to public posts at this point.

They are supposedly accepting advance sign ups for the open beta phase at their never updated web site. https://frsunrise.com/

I have zero faith in FR Sunrise. On the FAQ page of their site is this confusing little gem...

"First, you will need to locate a copy of the game. FR Sunrise has no plans to distribute copies of the game at this time. Once you have a copy and FR Sunrise has been released, you will be directed to download a tiny launcher that will help launch the game straight from your web browser, similar to the original game! In other words, there will be no visual launcher; everything will be done straight from this website!"
"We have no plans at this time to provide a copy of the game. You will need to locate your own copy. Sorry!"

well we can hope that sunrise has that (if it ever launches beyond the beta phase(or is it still alpha))

I am looking, in vain, for a game like Free Realms.

I am also looking for a game that has good housing and/or a good building component that does not require a bank loan and ongoing subscription in order to purchase and play it.Preferably a nice MMORPG, but I will consider other genres if it looks good and is priced right.

Lol, if I wish-listed every free game I would like to try it would take me a long time just to scroll the list.
That said, I can see where it might be more dependable than that hand written list that I could not seem to find, so I went ahead and listed some of the better looking ones from that list after I finally found it. :P

some of them were not free to play at the time they were put on (others its perhaps as a reminder to themselves of a game they are interested in and want to go back to

I've seen a lot of players putting free to play games on their wish list and am a little curious as to why they do so. There has to be some benefit to it that I'm overlooking or no one would bother doing it. So... what's the point?

I used to think the worst thing a producer could do is fail to communicate with its customer base, but I'm beginning to have second thoughts on that.

Do not follow the MMD Desktop app unless you want to see your activity feed spammed with 1-3 "important" announcements on a daily basis. While I admire a certain level of enthusiasm from a development team, there comes a point where too much of a good thing ceases to be a good thing. I suppose that's still better than a team that does not communicate as often as it should... but... not by much.

Poor, pc. I knew thee well. :( My pc has crashed and burned. I'm on a dinky laptop that can not play the majority of the games in my library. Estimated time frame on a fix is... I dunno.

Thanks. :) The only one I missed out on was the expanded version of Ori and the Blind Forest, which was the one I had a coupon for, which now seems to have been the likely cause for corrupting the other items in my queue. I picked it up today after the sale went off and learned a valuable lesson in the process; Do NOT attempt to buy something on sale that you already have a discount coupon for! :p

Discovered a glitch today. If you have a discount coupon for a game, it will most often not stack with a sale. The official policy is that you will get whichever discount is the highest. The problem is... If you have a coupon AND the game is on sale... it glitches the system and you can not buy the game at all. Bummer, eh?

I finally got everything I wanted but I wound up haing to purchase them one at a time and wait half an hour or more between each purchase >.<

Steam has been doing stuff they call security lately Kinda stupid of them :(

Bought a bunch of trading cards to get my account level up and then when I went to buy some games before the winter sale expires (in 12 hours) I got a message that my sale would not go through because I had been making too many repeated purchases. What the hell, Steam? You are going to not let me buy 7 games because I bought too many 08 and 10 cent trading cards? Seriously? I'm not going to be a happy camper if I miss out on this sale. :(
