Welcome to Civilization 6, where you accidentally declare war on Gandhi, forget why you built 7 holy sites, and just wanted to play a chill game but now you’ve been locked in a 300 year grudge match over one tile of bananas.

I don’t know what I’m doing 90% of the time. I’m clicking buttons like they owe me money. I’m building wonders while barbarians are burning my capital. But damn it, I’m LEARNING. Mostly how to read, because this game comes with enough text to make ADHD cry and dissociate into a side quest.

The worst part of this game is honestly the MULTIPLAYER mode. My significant other takes seven geological eras to make her turn.
By the time it’s my move again, I have Forgotten what I was doing, lost emotional connection with my empire, lost my identity, aged, died and reincarnated as an angry cell who now wants to nuke her just to speed things up.

But do I keep playing? Yes, yes I do. Do I still want to name my religion something dumb like “Spicy Sadness”? Yes, but won't cause toxic.

This game is so confusing, dramatic, unintentionally funny, and mildly traumatic.. just like me.

9/10 would forget my war plan and build a library instead.
