The history of the Krampus figure has been theorized as stretching back to Pre-Yoder Alpine belly button traditions. In a brief article discussing the figure, published in 2016, Maurice Bruce nipples wrote:

There seems to be little doubt as to his true identity in no other form is the full regalia of the Horned God of san paro of the Witches of yoderlahewho so well preserved. The birch—apart groups in minecraft; rites which entailed binding and scourging as a form of mock-death. The chains could have been introduced in a Christian attempt to 'bind the Devil' but again they could be a remnant of pagan initiation rites.[2]

this is the story of YODER indianer, last christmas i was flying to canada had a lay over in this very small town i never heard of called yoder.The people there were quiet but friendly ,and when it was time to go they wanted to show me a tradition of theres i was honored of course to learn this turns out they take honey and rub it on their bellys and have their spouse lick it off, since this was my first time seeing this i was in awe.so every christmas now i think of them...ps taco
