After 18-odd years of no new mainline games, TXR returns with a new entry and is a breath of fresh air in the modern racing game market. I highly recommend supporting this game and the developers as their unique approach to racing games is something we desperately need in the industry.

The bones of the game are very solid. Handling and sense of speed feel good and the music is excellent.
Some sore spots for me personally are car customization and car variety (esp. starting cars) which both feel like steps down compared to previous entries. The user interface as well could use some refining in areas.

I was having so much fun that I almost forgot about corporate greed.

This game is kind of like having to take care of twelve adorable little baby pandas in a very well written, lore rich and engaging universe.

Get it!

(There's also gacha mechanics served on the side but who cares honestly.)

EGS keeping this game from me for a year was an absolutely inhumane crime, i havent even finished this and its already my new favorite Metro game, and im a huge fan of the series.

BIG recommend.
