Unique spin on what is essentially a Factorio clone.

The hex grid and magic aspect has been pretty refreshing take on what is normally get copper, coal, iron etc etc.
The resources are not 1:1 clones of minerals in most factory games, they each offer a piece of your factory (power, transport...).

If you like Factorio its familiar but refreshing.

Clearly heavily inspired by Age of Empires II, the twist being on food/population management.
I have been finding the change to be a much more engaging alternative to the pop cap/food cost system of AoE.
The game clearly has a lot of effort put into it, its very polished for being a small studio and a low-res game.

Many of the negative reviews seem like people who either don't understand the AoE style RTS or were expecting something more fast-paced/arcade style.

Best city builder I done ever done played.

Really is just a better, Diablo 1&2 themed Vampire Survivors.

A model of what early access should be.

Its rough around the edges but the core gameplay is fun and its receiving regular meaningful updates.

Great town builder. Games are constrained enough to not reach the stage of tedium. The random unlocks of buildings is frustrating but also prevents a worn in build path, which again prevents tedium.

Is a pretty fun game overall. The story elements of it should have been toned way down. It feels like they're forcing you to stop having fun and listen to their novel at every corner.
I think they could have delivered the entire narrative in less intrusive way.
