299 Hours played
Bought EOD back in 2019 and I’m over 4,000 hours at this point. I wouldn’t still be here if the game wasn’t doing something right. Early wipe is still peak Tarkov. Everyone’s broke, gunfights feel fair, progression matters, and the game is genuinely fun for a while.

Then the usual cycle kicks in. A few weeks go by and the raids start feeling off. Cheaters become more obvious, deaths stop making sense, and motivation drops fast. It’s honestly been the same story for years now.

What’s disappointing is that even after “full release,” nothing really changed. Same problems, same lack of improvement where it actually matters. I don’t regret buying EOD and I definitely got my money’s worth, but it’s hard not to feel burned when we’re still dealing with issues that were around years ago.

Tarkov is still one of a kind and early wipe keeps pulling me back, but by mid to late wipe it just becomes frustrating. If you’re new, you’ll probably love it at first. If you’ve been playing as long as I have, you already know exactly what to expect.
