I can't overstate how terribly this game has been managed since day one. Such a gem, so much fun, constantly ruined at every possible step along the path of development. Abysmally small playerbase, no matchmaking, connectivity issues, janky hitboxes.

Please, this game is so fun. How it's been botched sp badly is beyond me.

This is a neutral review that would likely be a negative one, if not for the fun I had in co-op. There isn't a lot of variety in Abyssus. It would have benefitted greatly from an early-access release, there just is not enough here for the price point.

The movement is solid, the shooting feels great, and co-op is seamless. But it's over too soon and there is little reason to come back after the last boss goes down, which is not something you want to see in a roguelike game.


Very fun, just needed more content before the release.

This plays like old 1990s-2000s NHL games control wise, and has roguelite elements? PC needed hockey games badly and this is perfect.

As I played, I lost track of time and before I knew it, I had been playing for hours. Meanwhile, I had received a call from an unknown number that I ignored, as I was so drawn into this game. It wasn't until much later that I realized that the call was from the hospital, letting me know that my wife was in labor. By then, it was too late and I had missed the birth of my first child a very important moment. While it was definitely a painful experience, I have to say that the game is worth it. It is truly a masterpiece that offers an immersive experience that will keep you engaged for hours. I highly recommend the game to anyone who loves this kind of games and has the time to really sink their teeth into it.
