Okay, so, a while ago I got a subscription to ESEA to try and get better. Many people play Valve's Matchmaking service and there is one thing I hate about MM, and it's the main reason I don't play it. It's very difficult to improve with MM, due to the fact that you are not playing against those that are better than you. If you want to get better the best way is to play against those that are better, learn from them, and try to apply it to your own game. Also, playing with a team is the absolute best way to get better, but I will get to that later.

Okay, so, as I said, if you want to get better you need to play against those that are better, right? Well, there are other sites you can do this at, such as CEVO/Faceit, but ESEA is by far the best and fastest way to improve. You are going to get smashed, you are going to get destroyed, you are going to get yelled at by your team, screamed at, and they will describe 200 different ways they will gut you, ♥♥♥♥ you and kill you over comms. ESEA is quite toxic to bad players, I will admit, but just ignore the bad things they say, ignore the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s. If they point out something stupid you are doing, even if it be in a very rude manner, realize they are probably right and don't do whatever it was you did, or fix whatever mistake you made. Just ignore the bad, take in the good. I am not saying that people in ESEA are friendly. They generally are if you are decent or good. But if you are just a bad player, be ready to be yelled at.

Now, you may be wondering, 'why would I want to play in a place where I am going to get yelled at?" Well, the only reason I can say to you is it's by far the best way to get better, plain and simple. You just have to keep a proactive mind and try to always be fixing your mistakes and making yourself a better player. Ignore the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s, just try to get better. ESEA is the best way to do that.

NOTE: Everything I said above does not apply for the most part if you are LE+, as that is avg in the CS community and you should be fine.

Now, on to scrims and teams. You can make a team in CEVO and faceit, but I'm going to be honest, those teams are normally ♥♥♥♥ and terrible. The only way to get in a half decent team is on the recruiting section on ESEA. Find a team that is willing to take you, get rekt together, learn from it, fix your mistakes, and get better and grow as a team. ESEA provides all of this better than any other service IMO. As I said, almost everyone there is better than you are going to be, unless you are LE+, so you are going to get roflstopped. But, as I've said, that's the fastest way to learn and get better.

Overall, ESEA is a fun and good service, better than any other I've used. If you are a seasoned player, looking to play against good players with no hackers and few trolls, ESEA is the best pick for you. If you are a new player, and wanting to get better, and ready to put in the effort and dedication needed, then ESEA is also for you. But if you are a bad player, and have no desire to get better, then please, don't come to ESEA. You are wasting everyone's time. The only reason you should be on ESEA is if you can play, or you are trying to get better. Other than that, go away.

If you decide to pick up a subscription, please use that link to help me out. If you have any questions for me, add me on steam and I will answer anything you need.
