This will get long I'm afraid. I'm a little over an hour into this game and I'm loving it. How can you not love being a cat going after the monster? I've actually seen this in real life and I couldn't stop laughing ... still do when I think about it. No I'm not crazy, unless you consider I'm a 65 yr old lady, grandma of 7, who's been online 30 years and builds her own gamer computers. I have more games in here than my 2 sons do. Yes, of course I tease them about it, I'm a good mom like that. My daughter isn't a gamer, but her 9 yr old son is. LOL.

When I was in Texass (nope, I didn't typo that) visiting my above mentioned daughter and her family last year, I had picked up a crappy apt since I wasn't staying all that long. Next, my Sammi rescues a little 2 yr old red Min Pin named, yep, Monster ... and takes it home. All was fine till he growled at her Pit Bull Harley, when Harley ate his food due to his very slow eating habits. Harley grabbed Monster by the head and shook him like a rag doll, but didn't hurt him. The next day the cat ate Monster's food and got growled at, which offended the cat, so it beat Monster up. I then got the phone call from Sammi asking me if I wanted Monster. Of course I said yes.

Monster and I bonded right away. He's lying against my leg at the end of the bed as I type this, chewing/squeaking his little pink stuffed pig. I'm the widow of a cop, so I just *had* to get the pig. Back on topic .. Monster and I go for a walk and he discovers all the feral cats that live in the area and the people in the back of our apt. building would feed them daily. He LOVES cats, but they don't like him running up and getting in their face to play with them. Even though Monster had already been beaten up twice, he ran up to Momma kitty as we were out walking one day. She wasted no time in giving him a smack upside his head. When he didn't run away, she then fluffed up and hissed and growled. I was laughing sooooo hard. After a couple of months, the babies were about half grown and they also ended up hissing/growling at him and the occasional swat. Yet every day as we walked around, the minute Monster would see one of the cats, he'd be pulling me over to see them.

Today we're back home in Arizona, north of Phoenix where the cats we see are bobcats, the dogs that walk down the street at night without an owner or leash are coyotes, and the wild boars/pigs called Javelinas are always around (Monster barked at a big momma one a couple nights ago from our front porch). No cats to play with, no squirrels either, but Monster quickly discovered lizards, crickets, moths and God only knows what else in the back yard. He still goes crazy every time he hears a cat meow on TV and will look around the house and yard trying to find it.

This game hits home in many ways as those few of you who are still reading this have now realized. I have many hours ahead I'm gonna be lost in the game I'm sure. Now how to figure out how to get Monster to enjoy watching the cats in the game without getting too close to my 75 inch TV that's my monitor when I'm lazy and lying in bed. LOL. The TV is at the end of the bed and would really hurt if it fell towards me instead of away. He has never gone overboard though and is very good at carefully removing flies, mayflies and moths that get in off the screen that attracts them. Just gross seeing him eat them. Somedays I feel he did earn the name Monster and would love to ask his original owners what he did to earn the name as a puppy but don't know who they are.

Hope you all got a few chuckles out of this and please, if you haven't gotten the game yet .. what are you waiting for? If you like cats, hell, even if you don't, I bet you'd like this game.

My first game WAS the first game that was easily available to the public .. Pong. I remember the horror on my Daddy's face when I told him I was gonig to connect it up to *his* TV. He swore I was going to blow it up. LOL. Later I went thru the Atari 2600 phase and then in 1993 I found the internet via a 2600 baud modem, my phone line and my computer. Shortly after that, the WWW was made and the internet exploded. By 1998 I was building my own computers because I had learned that store bought just didn't have the quality 'guts' inside that some of the games I enjoyed needed.

I will turn 60 years old on July 23rd, 2017. It's been a wild ride watching the game industry develop and become what we all love today. Yet, as I think thru all of the games I have played thru the years, which would number in the thousands, there are only a few that really stand out and call to me. You know what I mean, that special game you played and played and just never really got tired of ... but then lost in a hard drive crash or something, only to find out you couldn't find it again online!

Welcome to Chromadrome 2. This is one of those few games I got 10 years ago when it was first released, loved, played and then lost in a crash. The next 5 years I thought about it so often, wishing I could play it again to experience the excitement of the race, which is enhanced more by the great soundtrack, then add in the vivid optical effects and colros and just .. WOW!!! I finally did find it again not long ago via the Developer's website, but only found him, via the greenlight section of Steam. I bought it immediately from his site, but that was a one time deal and not secure for future downloads like Steam, should I ever have another drive crash. You can be assured I will be one of the first in line to buy the game again as soon as it's available in here! I so love this game, the challange it gives me, along wtih the frustration it gives when I'm just sooooo close to the finish line, then make a wrong move. Heh, there's no other game quite like it.
