During the tutorial boss fight, the game tried three times to let me change difficulty. After my fourth failure the game activated a quick time feature that trivialized the fight. Instead of allowing me to learn the mechanics of the game, the game forced me to play the easier version. I feel profoundly disrespected by this, and uninstalled the game immediately.

The game stole a victory from me by making it easier without asking. It disrespected my desire to learn the controls before I got into the game proper. Unacceptable.

This game is pretty good on consoles, unfortunately its clear right from launch that this game recieved a half-baked PC port. These issues here are what I experienced from just 5 minutes of launch.

-No main menu for me to adjust settings from before starting. It just launches you directly into the game, which I personally find bad form.
-The game lacks borderless window mode. Just isnt there from what I could find.
-The Menus are far too overtuned. You were clearly meant to use a controller.
-Mouse Sensitivity is set to a preset. Most games inherit the baseline value from the machine you use to play and let you modify from there. It is incredibly jarring to have my mouse move at a different speed suddenly. You then have to adjusted it manually.

Four red flags in five miinutes was enough to convince me not to continue.

This launch period has been downright cataclysmic. With server downtime rates exceeding 50%, two hour matchmaking times for single-person lobbies, huge latency lag in private solo games, and thats IF you can even get to the main menu.

When you actually managed to play the game, its super fun. The gunplay is top-tier, the enemies are sophisticated in their AI, and the community is usually very positive. The UI is very clunky and will no doubt recieve multiple overhauls in the future. Games have launch issues. Its rare to see a launch go perfectly, but I have never seen a disaster like this before. I never thought I'd see bethesda launch a more stable product than Overkill. Shameful.

Do not buy this game. Wait a month, then come back. The game is great, but completely and utterly broken right now.

A year later. I should have known better.

Terraria is a rare Gem of a game. Its grown, and evolved, and changed. But ever since I bought it on the Xbox 360 store its been my second favorite game. I have more hours in this game than any other, mostly from modded games, and that number will continue to grow.

This is one of the first games that really hooked me in a long time.

You are a Deputy, who comes to face the leader of a radical cult of christian extremists who have taken over Hope County. After a series of events you set out to free the county from their grasp, and put an end to the cult.

Genuinely good game. Very fun.

I can't evenncomplete the tutorial missions solo. A mission where you are 100% safe. The ambience is totally unnerving.

I could feel my actual sanity declining faster than my characters.

If you can read this review then you can eead the store description. I wont repeat it.

This game is cooperative, and has crossplay between VR players and desktop players.
WARNING: Some of the levels have improper geometry on VR. BUT, this may be an issue with the Virtual Desktop/Oculus Quest setup. Yes, the game works 100% with virtual desktop.

Its the perfect scary. And since you can play with friends, you feel braver.

100% 32/32 would recommend. Play it. Support this wonderful developer.

Its such a cute and fun game. Its so satisfying when you pop ore nodes, and it only builds on that feeling as you progress.

Remember. The Beets are your friend.

Terraria is one of the best games on the market, and it will remain so for a very very long time. But even the best games have room for improvement, and tmodloader for years now has provided the community with the tools to build upon the base game, and create what are essentially player made DLC packs. Some with hundreds, or even thousands of new items, QoL touches, dozens of bosses. I personally have played all the big mods, and can tell you that they are an experience that will eat away hours of your life, and you will be happy about it.

If you like terraria, or even love it, then you absolutely MUST play with mods. Its as easy as navigating through the built in menu, and enabling and disabling mods. No load order, very few and far between conflicts, surprisingly stable. And the best part is its unified mod browser with every mod you will ever need.

If you have ever played a game called Xenominer Swarm, then this game gives off a lot of those particular vibes. In essence, the gameplay loop as if seen it involve going into missions, performing objectives, and collecting random treasures you find on the way. In the end there is a payout that helps you build up your character's strength. Each level can take anywhere from 15-45 minutes. Depending on your speed, loadout, and the competency of your team (if you run a team), maybe more or less.

At first this game gave off Sandbox vibes when I saw it in my feed. My initial thoughts were base building to withstand enemies as i collected resources. Similar to zombie games. What this is more akin to is dungeon delving in a completely destructible cave. Using destruction as your only real tool, you find your way around obstacles and enemies. And so far there appears to be a good variety of mission types with varying objectives.

I look forward to continuing to play this game.
