One of the most positively impressive games I've played recently. It's really hard to explain the qualities of the game, most of the things like "Good story", "Good characters" and "Good writing" make people imagine certain things and have certain expectations regarding the game.

I had those expectations and this game blew them out of the water. It's really hard to describe what your skills talking to you feels like. Also the general tone and setting is, surprisingly, really refreshing. The story has twists and turns that leave you biting your nails, and you have a lot of control of who you want your character to be, despite being unable to create a character.

Masterfully made game, especially considering it was made by an indie company. It deserves all the praise it gets. Do yourself a favor and play this.

Interesting game overall, the pixel art is really good and the gameplay is, for the most part, really smooth and rewarding.

My two biggest gripes with the game were the story, which doesn't seem to go anywhere, and the forced stealth section, (which admittedly only happens one time but it is so opposite to the regular gameplay loop that it makes me wonder why even include in the first place). The game is also on the short side (I've completed my first playthough it in 4 hours) but it seems to want to be played multiple times to try out different styles of gameplay.

One thing that deserves a lot of praise is the level design. The settings are always varied, and the setpieces, enemy placement, and general style of gameplay makes every level a action-filled puzzle to be solved.

Wholeheartedly recommended.

Just like the first "The Silver Case", not everyone will enjoy this game. That said , I really enjoyed the at times nonsensical plot, characters, the gameplay, the references and the general bizareness of things.

There's not much else that I can explain about this game. If you enjoyed the first one, you will enjoy this one, if you didn't, you probably won't enjoy this one. If you've never played the first one, go play it.

While not for everybody, The Silver Case is an excellent Visual Novel with interesting characters, bizarre developments (in true SUDA51 fashion) and interesting gameplay ideas and concepts.

Considering that the original game was released in 1999 for the PS1, i'd even say it was way ahead of its time, especially since it has a "Collage-like" artstyle, using 2D, 3D, Live Action and Animation during different moments in the game, something that is rarely seen in Visual Novels. This aesthetic gives a fresh and innovative look to the game.

The story may feel disjointed at times, but in the end it mostly comes together and makes sense. Some concepts briefly introduced in this game will only be totally fleshed out in the sequel, though.

Definetly one of the most interesting games I've played in the last couple of years.

An excellent Metroidvania title overall. The gameplay is tight, responsive and interesting, the art is absolutely gorgeous, and the atmosphere all sell the feeling of penitence and inquisition the game exudes.

Extremely solid game, wholeheartedly recommend.

An absolute masterpiece.

An action-adventure with Hack'n'Slash elements that has an enganging, deep and skill-rewarding combat system, with an atmosphere and art direction that really sells the Feudal Japan aesthetic, along with several tools and other powerups to complement your swordplay.

A masterfull story with interesting characters and told in a little more direct way (In contrast to the way the Dark Souls series tells its stories), but still really dependant on item descriptions and interpretation of the enviromental design to grasp the full extent of the lore.

My favorite Fromsoft game and the game I think most deserved its GOTY award in the last decade.

It's a pretty interesting game. As with all Telltale games, there's not much in the gameplay departament, but the story is really well executed and acted, the characters area really interesting, and Telltale's spin on the Batman Mythos respects fans of the Caped Crusader by including places and people we're familiar with, but with their own spin.

Its also pretty fun to play this with friends by streaming the game on discord and voting on which dialog options to pick.

Another game really great for its time. The combat is a little bit rough around the edges, but as with Witcher 1, playing this has historical value and is worth it, since the stuff you do here can impact the next game.

I have to mention Letho, of course, as he is one of the best "villains" (if you can call him that) in the Witcher series and one of my favourite characters.

This game is pretty archaic, not gonna lie, but I believe playing it has historical value, seeing as this game was extremely well regarded when it came out.

The combat is really unorthodox but the story and characters are pretty cool, and I think that it's nice to see the person you shape Geralt to be evolving through the games, since you can carry over saves and stuff that you made in a previous game can have an impact on the next game in the series.

A true masterpiece. The combat is pretty easy even in death march, but the world, the characters, the quests, and the story are all masterfully done.

The DLCs are even more amazing, Hearts of Stone made me empathize and care for a villain like never before, and Blood & Wine is almos like a second game on top of the first with its new map and plethora of new quests and things to do.

You've probably heard everyone praising this game like crazy, and they're right.
