Had no issues prior to a few months ago, I come back after a break and the game keeps crashing and lowering graphic settings post match, and only after playing for an hour or so. I know it's not a pc issue cause I've been playing on the same pc since the game launched, not sure when the change was but it needs to be fixed. No issues at all a few months ago.

Aesthetically, it is great. The feel of the gun-play is pretty good, melee even better.

The truth is this game is not what I anticipated since I heard darktide was in the works some years ago. This whole early access/beta into the launch left me pretty bitter about the game overall. I wish I didn't give the game more than 2 hours after launch to see it through, but instead refund it. Too late for that, so maybe I'll come back some year down the road if/when it's actually good and has some content to sink my teeth into.

The game got stale into the beta after 3-4 days and hitting level cap, but I saw passed that thinking we had like 2/3rd more content coming at launch.....well....so I thought. Launch brought us 1 or 2 maps, and a cash shop. Absolutely nothing to do late game and insult to injury is the crafting wasn't available as well (which I believe they added now but portion still missing).

All in all, save your money, you're not missing anything. Maybe give it a try a year from now and it may be worth the current price. The game has potential but very repetitive in current state with lack of content and no carrot on a stick to chase. Give us meaningful rewards and unlockable content based on progression other than a point on a skill tree every 5 levels that goes away at an extremely easy to acquire level cap. As for lore, it's laughable, don't expect a thing in that regard.

I played VT2 after a few years and after some expansions, and I thoroughly enjoyed that game. I can't wrap my head around them making that game great eventually, then going back to square one with Darktide. Just doesn't make any sense whatsoever, as if they didn't learn anything from development of VT2.
