If you're going into this remaster having already played Talos 1 and 2 through, hoping for more profound profoundities the games previously wielded with elegance and efficiency - you'll be thoroughly disappointed. It would appear that the writers have exhausted most of their good ideas with previous content, which is no surprise given just how grand and beautiful the games have been. Luckily for them, me, and this review - I am so enamoured with the games that I will gobble anything they cook up and be happy, even if the meat is half done, potatoes unpeeled, the plate being mostly just air, and the cook turning out to be a small mouse. That is not to say the new DLC has absolutely nothing (or nothing new) to say, but it really feels like fanservice, as most prequels usually do (and, really, as they usually are). It's short and sweet, perhaps too short and too sweet. The puzzles didn't feel too difficult and if you're really stubborn and made of time you could probably crack the whole thing in one sitting. Leaves a lot to be desired, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Hoping for more amazing things from Croteam in the future.

I don't think I can recommend this game to many people. It's a tad rough around the edges in some respects, and the writing in places (especially in the beginning) can feel a bit unsubtle, and that may put some people off, but the overall story is magical. Ironically, the people who would reject the game for its writing are probably the ones who need to hear what it has to say. An absolute delight of a game.

I absolutely hate sokoban puzzle games. That being said, this may just be one of the best puzzle games I've ever played.

Literally the closest thing to human torture, which is an accurate representation of a real battlefield, would not recommend.
