Easy to get into and fun to discover all the little things hidden in the game.
Nice when you only have a few minutes to play but also deep enough to lose a few hours in.
Controls are extremely simply. Good for all ages.
The game is also very cheap. No reason not to purchase it.

I would have to say that this game is the best example of a Star Wars epic. Unlike Knights of the old Republic 1 and 2 that are more like watching several of the movies back to back. This game is like playing through a brand new movie, and a good one at that.

Design - 7/10 Yes, the game is old and the cutscenes are hard to look at. The game itself though is quite good looking with very good character models and okay backrounds. Atmosphere is top notch, feeling rich and varied with each location. The one problem with the levels, intresting as they are, is that they can be confusing, and can leave you feeling lost. In my opinion, I've come to like that but when I was younger it was the main reason I had trouble with the game.

Gameplay - 9/10 This game makes you feel like a Jedi, in a way no other game has (except the next game Jedi academy, which improves upon it but at the loss of some story). Rewarding you with great power but only after you've earned it, through both great fun and hardship. Using the lightsaber feels fast and fuild, slicing through stromtroppers like butter. Facing other Jedi is a dance of light and sweat, where a single strike can end you. Now when you start you have no lightsaber or force powers and the first few missions can be quite daunting. The gunplay suports these sections, being fast paced and excelent with a wide verity of weapons each having their own uniqueness and usefulness.

Sound - 10/10 It's just as it should be with beautiful and entertaining songs taken right from the movies and the striking sounds of blasters going off and lightsabers swinging through the air. It fits perfectly.

Overall - 9/10

This is a great game and there needs to be more like it. If they could update this game, better graphics, steam workshop, and without the problem of running on newer tech, than that would bring new light to this awesome game.

This was one of the first games I purchased on steam and, having never played in the Saints Row uneverse before, I was going into it unknowing of what I would find.

Holy Cow, this game is something else.

The story is, in my opinion, forgettable. I didn't really care what was what, or who was who, and the environment in which you are placed is very bland. Some of the jokes are funny, and I always enjoy nods to other movies and games, and the parts where they turn everything upside down are something to see.

None of that really matters though because my time of twenty some hours was not played in the story. In the begining of the game you go through some cool opening missions which show you the basics but after that it just throws you down and leaves you alone. When you pull up the map you see all these markers, you think "Oh, lots of missions!", and off you go. I had a blast blowing things up, jumping in cars, running up buildings, and smaking aliens in the face, but after eighteen hours of this, I was like "So... where's the story?" I didn't realise that those weren't missions at all, just little side activities and such. Eighteen hours of none stop fun, (over weeks, mind you) and I wasn't even doing the story.

That kind of sums it up, right there. There's tons of fun to be had, no doubt about that, but (I Haven't even finished the story yet) the story's not where it's at.

This game - I tell you, it is one of the entertaining and absorbing games that I have played in a long time! Yes, it is silly, exsplosive, and Mucho 'Murica!', mixed with muscle flexing, funny puns, and playful nods.

The gameplay - 10/10

Perfectly balanced - I never felt like there was a situation that was unfair or that one character was superior/lesser.

Challenging but never imposilbe - Yes, one bullet can kill you, and, Yes, there are a TON of bullets (all with your name echtched into their firey little bodies) but never are you totally out matched, though it might get a little overwhelming at times, with all the exsplosions and such. The game gives you just the right amount of freedom to tackle all of your problems the way you want, coupled with just enough randomness to make it fresh throughout the 6 or so hour campaign.

It also features excelent coop. My dad and I played through the whole campaign (somewhere between 30 to 50 maps/levels) over two nights. It was such a blast, with more laughs then our sides could take!

The level design - 10/10

The maps were excelent - Fresh, exciting, with funny little nods sprikled about here and there. The destructible makes the games a thousands times more engaging, allowing that freedom and randomness to emerge gloriously. Also with a good amount of both height and depth to the maps, (in my eys) alleviates the staleness that would, over time, set in as some other games do.

The Music - 8/10

The rhythms and beats of war drive you on, roaring loudly as you run through the fire and blood. What more could you ask for?

Price - 7/10

When I first saw this game, I had thought that the price was much to high for what it was, but that was before I look into it. After seeing a youtuber play it, just before the Summer Sale, I thought I would give it a shot. I waited for it to go on sale, picked it up, and, after playing it, felt that it's price was right. It's not too high, but if it was a little lower, I would've gotten into it a lot sonner.

My final verdict is 9/10

It is an excelent game and should be played by anyone that enjoys very well made action games.
