For any ARG fans, this DLC is a direct continuation of the MLO plot line. For those of you interested in that plot and/or the ARG, this is a HUGE payoff to a very interesting story so far and I highly recommend it to anybody interested in the overarching story.

Every game in this collection is fantastic, definitely check out The Other Side and Tartarus Engine.

Guns

Best climbing simulator to date. Played a few games based around this concept and this is the only one that really captures the essence of actual IRL climbing. Definitely grab it, it's worth your time.

Old: Playing on Steam Deck and the game's FPS tanks while the "visual" settings menu is open. It freezes my entire Deck until I force close the game and restart it. I'm unable to change graphics settings because of this. This is after the devs "fixed" an issue with the "Visuals" menu crashing the game entirely. Something ain't right here, but I'll change my review when this is fixed.

Update: Issue has been fixed :) game is pretty fun for a few hours while you have a podcast or video on in the background.

This is the new Risk of Rain 2 since Gearbox is so dead set on ruining it and never fixing bugs.

It genuinely feels like they didn't playtest this AT ALL. It feels like a 0.1 alpha build, but supposedly this isn't even Early Access. This is genuinely one of the buggiest games I've ever played and it's simply not fun because of it. It's not actually possible to play in any significant way with the RV launching into the air, randomly having the RV take damage, randomly getting ejected from the RV, launching players into the air so far they die upon impact. It's funny the first time it happens. It's not funny the 20th time it ruins your attempt at getting to the next checkpoint. At first I didn't understand why the checkpoints were so close together, but now I realize it's because the devs know the game is so unfinished to the point that nobody would ever make it to any checkpoints at all if they were further apart.

I will be refunding this, it's not a functional product. Hello Neighbor's buggiest build was still more functional than this pile. If they fix the bugs it'll be amazing, but right now it's not even basically functional.

Devs are changing from Steam Online Services to Epic Online Services to handle multiplayer. I wouldn't have bought the game if I knew that beforehand. EOS has consistently never worked properly for me and many other games I've seen switch to it have ended up switching back at a huge cost of time and development effort to the product.

Game requires an internet connection to unlock characters and cosmetics. It doesn’t mention this ANYWHERE on the store page. Been playing local couch coop with an unstable connection and find out at the end of every other level that our progress wasn’t recorded because of an issue connecting to the internet. I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew it had always online features.
