The mechanics of this game take a bit of getting used to, but are the best of its kind. The story was amazing 80% of the time, and I had a genuinely fun time playing this game. I have 2 main critiques with this game.

1. Inventory management is ragebait...genuinely. You have no idea how large something is before picking it up until you either can or can't. Then spend 5 min cleaning up your inventory only for it to still not be enough room. This is the most frustrating part of the game by a large margin.
2. The last 10% of the game. The avalanche mechanic made me quit multiple times and wait days before trying again, imagine being careful with supplies and piton's only to not be able to use them at all for the longest climb in the game. It feels like they made that part of the game too easy and had to manufacture difficulty so "lets make them do it without the gear they worked hard for".

TLDR: If you're a loot ♥♥♥♥♥, do not play this game...the inventory management will give you anxiety and you will be disappointed with the last 10% of the game. 7.9/10 worth the 90% and will play again if they add DLC.

Fix Mortars....genuinely, the only thing they are good for is to reload your game. Do some research on laser guided mortars and fix them. Also don't tell me to download mods to fix them, this should be a base game fix.

Without the mortars that have had a problem for years, the experience of this game is a 9.4/10. I think a thirst system added would be really interesting, that being said I highly recommend this product. Don't come with the expectation of this being fair, because it rarely is. But that makes it a very unique experience.

Will continue to play and have fun with updates. Tip for new players...skip mortars they are hotdog water and not worth the material investment. Unless you like reloading your save.
