A nearly entirely faithful port of the original Blood. Unless you actually enjoy the cruellest hitscan in historical FPS (you won't), play on Well Done and don't actually try playing on Extra Crispy, as it's wretched even if you've mastered the cultist AI. Some of the levels are great, yet others crap, and the weapon and enemy balance is tricky. Otherwise it's an excellent if uneven seminal boomer shooter, though better played with nostalgia and not as timeless as Doom.

Tentative thumbs up just because it's pleasant fun. The style is fantastic and even the racing mechanics are solid. The AI is almost absent and there is no multiplayer. NG+ steps up the computer opponents some but at least as of the second lap through the game, if you learn the controls there really isn't an opposition. But the pleasure of running the tracks and experiencing the flavor of the campaign is worth.

Yes, this is a single-player game. Qud's Discord community is toxic, and it turns out the developer fosters that. What a strange place. If you're willing to review the game in isolation that's fine, I guess. If you care to factor in its actively hostile and insular player community, avoid.

This isn't the best idler I've played. It is the most charming.

It's a little heavy handed on the Prestige restarts but the soul is there.

The guns of Prodeus are a right pleasure, though the enemies are oddly a clear remix of Doom, and the difficulty is actually gentle due to mobility trumping enemy abilities and unlimited respawns. I mainly like it for the amazing arsenal and interesting levels, big focus on usermaps which I've barely touched.

Shotgun has some strange shot pattern where it doesn't disperse to uselessness over long distances, altfire charge-up for an even more focused cone than that in exchange for slower refires, and pretty much every gun has nuances, tradeoffs or abilities.

Solid recommend for the great aesthetics, interesting map, and aggressive power trip pace of the game. Nails it.

Return of the Obra Dinn is basically a master class in non-linear storytelling. It's art, it's excellent, and the positive reviews are entirely merited.

QWOP-inspired control scheme masochism/player torture might already be my favorite subgenre, but Heavenly Bodies is a worthy entry of the likes of Struggling, Getting Over It, etc. A lovely time, highly recommended, starts strong and ends stronger.

Want a literal sports-like esport that has an unlimited skill ceiling? This is your bag. Does one thing and is utterly polished at it. It is indeed Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars and they should have kept the name.

Actual high quality harem fiction is a thing:

+ Good writing keeps it interesting
+ Non-objectified women keeps it wholesome
+ Large quantity of chill interactions across the island keeps it engaging
+ Regular and significant content updates

Huge recommend if you want something better than a VN plus erotic. Paradise Lust is best in class for that.
