You're gonna die. A lot. So many times. And you're gonna hate this game. But you keep coming back to it because there's nothing else like it and there's no replacing the feeling of getting home with a huge bag of loot after you managed to win a fight.

That, and Facepunch is CONSTANTLY updating/improving/adding content - this is an incredibly well supported game.

If you liked Dawn of War 1, and were hoping this would be a successor game to it, this is not for you.

It's probably not a bad game, per se, it's just not really what I expected.

There's no 1v1 skirmish mode, solo vs AI and custom multiplayer seems to only be the one multiplayer game mode that is this weird (and not very well executed, imo) mix of DotA and traditional RTS mechanics. Everything revolves around the hero units, and the non-hero units seem to more or less be an afterthought.

I was really hoping for a good follow up to the first Dawn of War since the second game in the series isn't quite what I wanted either but...I guess "RTS" games these days are just bare bones strategy with a bunch of hamfisted DOTA style mechanics crammed in for no reason.
