Some(fringe) egyptologists speculate that the position of the Sphinx in relation to the Great Pyramid comemorates the time when the sun rose in the constellation of Leo. They posit the Sphinx was a lion in its first iteration, and from the vantage of the Great Pyramid, the Sun would have risen behind the "Sphinx" in the constellation of Leo 12,000 years ago! With nothing close to proof, I speculate that the great civilizations knew of this cycle and somehow retained the knowledge and handed it on down through the ages. Perhaps this is the work of the Mystery Schools. Imagine how long it would take to discover this cycle without any help. This could be important... you know, after the colapse.
