Though to say... I really wanted to like this game, it's the first time I've installed one late at night and played for less than an hour.. looks decent, plays decent, but the rest is a mess so far.

The combat is confusing, flashy moves paired with an AWFUL camera. (Felt way better in black desert) I just started and I felt they forced way too many mechanics down my throat already... I'll keep playing and maybe update the review, but as of right now I feel disappointed.

UPDATE at the 2.5h mark:
Controls still are quite unpolished (i've been using mouse and keyboard)
again i got introduced to at least 5/6 other mechanics i'll probably forget about while i'm learning everything else.
the story is all over the place, all cryptic stuff, not really my cup of tea.
LIMITATIONS are NOT bad things, they challenge the player to think on their feet and adapt, here it seems they really sat around a table and took turns adding stuff to the game. EVEN as an MMO this would be too much, some ppl like some not. i can only imagine how much stuff they included i haven't really seen yet.. as far as the launch of the game, mixed reviews are a fine state IMO.

it's a damn shame, i want to like the game but so far i'm only getting bored out of my mind, nothing clicked for me yet, in one word i'd describe this game as CONVOLUTED.

Missed this game so much lately, sad the devs made the worst possible decisions again and again, basically killing the game in the process (battlerite royale, made to capitalize in the growing battleroyale genre at the time, was the biggest mistake by far)

As everyone else i hope to see a revival of some kind or a battlerite 2.

What an amazing game to discover and play the last day of the year...

It's a short visual novel that pulls at the hartstrings just right.

besides some jankyness in a few chapters where i felt my clicks didn't register or the dialogue got stuck on screen going on top of the next one...
still wholeheartedly recomment it to take a break from everything else.

Alwats kept my eye on this,
i heard the first release didn't do very well, and the monetization was horrible.

picked it up for 5€ thinking it would be just 1 and done but it surprised me!

Played on the highest difficulty it's pretty fun for the most part, but leveling up sure it's though getting one shotted at every major bossfight the first time around.
it's pretty clear most of these systems were intended to be sprinkled in "battlepasses/reward"
the conversion to coop singleplayer it's not bad though... they need to do a relaunch as such.

maybe a free weekend or two, it has potential.

on a side note: LOVE the charatcer customization!

This is just the first impression of the game, and honestly wasn't the best.
ok hear me out, i might change the review after playing a lil bit more but as it stands:

the combat while flashy seems pretty dull and unimpactful, a non-existent/fake character customization.
Somehow i feel like they give you the bare minimum to customize, and THEN you can pay for new hairstyles/hair colour (kind of like i make up a problem and conveniently i sell you the solution...)

Starting out it's pretty fun, i played it constantly when i got it.
i'd say play it in short bursts cause while addictive, it can get repetitive. After a while you've basically done very combinations multiple times and end up doing the same build, changing em up a little, but some are clearly better than others..

by a long shot.

1. NOT overpriced
2. decently paced
3. decent story, though i've heard the first was better (can't really vouch for that)
4. snappy controls, honestly i didn't like em at first, but run after run they grew on me

gifted to me by by a friend, and i said:
"played the first a little, didn't get hooked so i might not play it"
this time i'd say it cliked hahaha still have to max out some bonds, get the last aspect etc. but i'd say i'm nearly finished.

it's perfect to play on STEAMDECK if you have one

A fun coop rogue lite, not a lot of variety in the builds, but the combat still feels satisfing!

A fun asthetically pleasing fps.
a bit hard at first, considering very little is explained and don't be fooled, this is mostly an extraction shooter.

Enter the map, kills some stuff, gather loot and come back leveled\geared up.

Still, it becomes brutal when they throw at you you multiple enemies with an elite... it becomes a survival horror at that point.
