Extremely fun game, but due to constant crashes I can't recommend it. Great idea, lots of RNG, but every time you get a good run it'll just randomly crash for seemingly no reason. Kind of defeats the purpose of fighting RNG when you can't fight crashes.

Dev has also stated he's no longer working on it, so these crashes will never get fixed. It was free though, so it's hard to complain too much. Give it a try if you want but in the end you'll probably just leave annoyed due to the crashes.

Was fun for a couple of playthroughs, and for free it's hard not to recommend it, though I'll probably never touch it again after 1.3 hours

Discovered this game about a month ago, already up to ~200 hours played and that was with a large break inbetween waiting for Ironman to launch. This game deserves a long, well written review, but I am currently too busy trying to maintain rank 1 on the leaderboard to write one out. Will definitely come back to add more detail, but for now:

This is essentially a runescape-esque MMORPG. You've got all your basic skills, combat, woodcutting, smithing etc. Levels scale up to 120, XP rates feel pretty good. Overall it's just a fun grind. Not perfectly polished but I can see that they're working towards it whilst adding more content etc.

Game sold to some trash company responsible for mobile games like "Anime Mother Simulator 3D" - don't waste your time anymore.

At first glance it seems like it could be a fun idle-ish type game, but there's really nothing enjoyable here.

The only "gameplay" is choosing which quests to do, and then clicking to complete them. You're limited to only 5 possible quests at a time, and the actual difference between what you choose is barely existent. Each quest is either slow, medium or fast - offers a certain item slot (or sometimes a "random" item slot) - and has between 1 star, 2 star or 3 star quality.

How does your choice actually impact the gameplay? It really doesn't other than the speed of the quest. If it's fast you can turn it in quicker, if it's medium it takes longer, and if it's long it takes even longer than that.

As far as I can tell it's best to just do fast quests over and over regardless of the reward, because you'll get EXP for each quest and the items themselves do absolutely nothing other than look better. Once you max your level you'll probably try to get the fastest speed quest with the highest quality items because you no longer care about EXP and just want to max your gear.

Usually in an idle game you're distracted by some sort of number going up that makes you feel like you're actually achieving something (even if you really aren't) - but in this game that doesn't even feel like it exists. The only numbers that go up are your levels and the levels of your items - but they have nearly no impact at all, and you have to go into completely different menus to even realize that they're changing.

You gained a "rare level 42 helmet"? Great.. is that better than what I had? Is it worse? Is it a LOT better? I dunno, I don't keep track of every item I earn when I earn 10 of them within 20 seconds, so I have no idea whether I should be happy about what I earned or not. My level going up doesn't mean I can fight harder enemies, or deal more damage, or unlock new features.. it just means the number goes up. Again, why would I care?

Comparing this to something like Clicker Heroes.. in that game you start out dealing 1 damage per click, you watch the monsters change as you go up through the levels, you upgrade your damage per click, you start unlocking things that will manually click for you, there's decisions to make between whether you want to focus more on an active style of gameplay or an idle style of gameplay, and there's multiple new features you unlock along the way. Once you start getting some truly idle possibilities you can entirely tab out of the game and go watch a video etc while still progressing, which gives you incentive to go back later and upgrade your stuff, see what new things you've gained, etc etc.

Loot Grind Simulator had a cool idea in theory but it just feels very poorly implemented with no real gameplay to it. Let us buy upgrades so we can hold more quests at once, give us infinite levels rather than capping it at 1000 (I reached 50 in 5 minutes), make the items feel more relevant, maybe even give the items random statistics such as "makes quests progress 5% faster" or "increases your odds of receiving better loot" etc, make the items actually feel worthwhile to receive rather than just a bunch of meaningless numbers.

The games free so I wouldn't go as far as saying "don't even bother", go for it if you think it could be enjoyable, but this game just leaves a lot to be desired. I made it to 0.1hrs before feeling like I had experienced everything the game had to offer. Maybe if the dev(s) expand upon the idea it'll be something to return to

Currently I can't recommend this game. Overall I'm giving the game a 7.5 out of 10, but because of some of the design choices and technical issues/choices I simply can't recommend it.

The Positives

For me, the game world still felt.. fallout-like.

I really enjoyed the opening scenes, where you're still in the pre-war timeline. (More on this in the negatives)

The looting system is greatly improved, you're able to pick items up without ever opening the menu that exchanges items between your inventory and the object in question.

The character creation seemed better, though I didn't mess around with it too much.

The combat feels a lot smoother. (More on this in the technical aspect)

The Negatives

Talking about the pre-war scene in the positives.. While I did enjoy it, it felt very short. It was maybe 8 minutes long. I feel like they could've expanded on this quite a bit, letting you get to know the characters more.

Dialogue options are cut down. You can only choose between 4, and they never explain exactly what you're going to say. Which means your character could end up saying something that you don't intend for them to say.

The RPG elements overall just felt.. worse. There's no skill system, the perks feel a lot worse than I found them to be in older games.

There's no level cap. Which at first you might consider a good thing, because who doesn't enjoy leveling up? But what this means in the end.. is that no character is unique. You aren't that "really good sneaky sniper", you're "decent at everything generic guy who can use any weapon equally".

They completely removed the hardcore aspect from NV.. no idea why.

Technical Aspects

As I mentioned in the positives, the combat felt better... after I spent 30 minutes editing .ini files to get my game to feel somewhat okay.

When you start the game, you'll notice that you have input lag, mouse acceleration, and a different sensitivity for your x/y axis and that vsync is forced on.

The input lag, mouse acceleration and different sensitivity you can fix. However you have to edit some .ini files to do it. The vsync you can't entirely fix. You can remove the vsync, but you then also have to cap your game to 60 FPS, because the devs thought it'd be a good idea to use an engine which is essentially just a modified version of the Morrowind/Oblivion engine. Ofcourse, some of the things have been modified and upgraded, however there are clearly still some flaws in it. No idea why they haven't bothered making a new engine since ~2002 or earlier.

There's no native support for 21:9 resolutions. Plus 5:4 resolutions can't play the game at all as far as I can tell.

The UI in the game is HUGE, and not something you can scale at all.

If you're running on any monitor that is above 60HZ, your game won't even work properly. You will be 100% required to edit .ini files, or lower your hz down to 60. Why? Because they don't actually cap your FPS, they simply force vsync on. So if you have higher than 60hz, your FPS will be above 60 even with vsync on. Meaning the game will be running a lot faster than it should be, and you'll encounter plenty of bugs because of it.

Ofcourse, there are also plenty of CTD and low fps issues for many users currently. Not necessarily counting this against the game, as it is a huge game release and they can't test every combination of hardware. However, it is still true, so I'm including it here.

Overview

Content wise.. I'd probably give the game an 8. (Good gameplay, but casualized)

Technical performance.. I'd probably give it a 7. (Decent FPS for some, with some problems for others)

Technical design.. I'd give it about a 4.5. (Lots of issues, plenty of which have existed through some of their older titles, and none of which have been fixed)

I noticed this game and immediately knew I had to play it. I'll share my gameplay with you.

First I was presented with a tiny window, probably 400x600. Some really awful video started playing where some girls mom leaves and finally I'm presented with what I was waiting for. An 11 year old girl holding two naked dolls that I can spin around and smash into eachother. I do this about 4 times until they get stuck together and move left and right without the use of my hands. I then spin them a couple more times before my mom comes home and catches me playing with naked dolls. Apparently I "might have done sex 97 times...?"

Nothing else to say. 10/10 best pedo simulator 2015. Must play. Goty. 97/100 metascore.

Edit: I am updating this review. I was just banned from the games forum for "trolling", simply because I gave my opinion of this game. I am now changing their metascore to 97/100 rather than 100/100. The game is still amazing but the devs clearly hate freedom of speech.
