I installed this thinking I'd just "check it out for an hour" - now it's 4am, my coffee is cold, and I just spent 20 minutes debating with myself whether I should vassalize my best friend.

EU5 feels like what happens when Paradox finally decided therapy wasn't working and just doubled down on their addiction to map painting. It runs smoother, looks better, and has enough new mechanics to make me pretend I understand them while secretly googling "how to not go bankrupt in EU5".

Yes, it has bugs. Yes, it needs patches. But for a Paradox launch, it's surprisingly functional - which is like saying your cat only set half the house on fire this time.

In short:

300 hours in EU4 taught me pain

EU5 taught me enlightenment through slightly less pain

10/10 would ignore my family again

Do I like this game?? Yes yes I do, Do I like the fact that they're forcing us to sign up with a PSN account despite Sony's security issues in the past, Heck no. completely blocks players from several countries who've already bought the game. simply ridiculous.

Honestly the random laughs and screams are were its all at

Good game better than 76 I still used commands to add skill points cause that’s how I be but good game
