There have been some bad reviews coming in because the game mechanics aren't explained fully. I'll do my best to explain these below.

It took me hours to figure this out. You can right click identical items and they will merge together and grow more powerful, gaining stars and a colored border. Two of the same gray sword that does 2-4dmg? Now it does 4-6dmg and is two-stars quality with a silver border. You can also use the upgrade reward event to make it 3 star or higher, where it gains a gold border.

There are Set Bonuses activated when you wear a complete armor set. Click the question mark in the bottom right of the game screen. Again at the bottom middle of the new screen there are 3 tabs, choose the far right one. That lists all set bonuses. I have listed a few below.
Legion - Gain rage at the end of the round and reduce all damage received.
Ironclad - Enemies breaking your barriers receive damage per broken barrier. Also, gain guard per level.
Rogue - The first time you critically strike each round, gain an extra attack that cannot critically strike. Also, gain Critical Chance and Critical Damage per level.
Beast - Whenever you attack, a percentage of your damage is dealt to all other enemies.

You have a choice. Do you screw over your teammate by taking the 1 person exit blue stairs, leaving them stranded, or, will you take the red stairs and get your whole group killed on the next floor.

The only way this game will be playable for me is if we can exit as a GROUP at the blue stairs. It makes ZERO sense to force use to just abandoned a party member in the middle of the dungeon. I can't get better gear to go after (red stairs) because we can't find 2x blue stairs.

My phone was stolen and I lost access to my authentication app. I can't even log into my Microsoft accounts or personal emails. My PC itself isn't even signed in now so I can't open Windows Gamebar to try and disable the connection.

I can not get a hold of anyone on phone or by live chat. It's currently asking me to "Approve a request using my Microsoft app" or "Use a verification code from my mobile app."

What is the difference between those two things since I can't get a hold of anyone?

The gunplay and feel of the game is good, but the maps are just bad.

Greed is bad. Releasing overpowered tanks only to nerf and up their level once you've made money off them.

I bought this game years ago while it was on sale. I told myself I would get to it after I beat all the other ones. Well, that day has come and gone. During the FIRST encounter where you get shot by laser eyes it crashes. I have done all of the checks and fixes you would normally do. I have seen this reported for others with no solution. I wish you luck and buy at your own risk!

This game is not going to get much visual polish until they decide on a more firm development plan, imo. If you're here for a fun game play loop with high replayability, this is that game.

The stats mechanics locks all physical stat effect changes (health regin, health amount, run speed, and damage reduction) to Strength and Dexterity. This is great because it allows you to get a big bang for your buck for just a single stat point. You often see these multiple aspects as their own standalone stat in other games.

The 6 classes are well designed and have engaging attacks and abilities that suit their primary stat preferences. Based on their structuring adding more classes would be relatively simple and only held back by design time.

There are not a lot of QOL options in the settings, but from their posts they will make changes based on community feedback and ideas.

A good game with an unlimited mode coming soon! The dev's are responsive on the discord and actively seeking feedback.

Don't forget to lock on to your targets with Q. I have seen some reviews here about being unable to block while walking backwards. you can't block and go backwards unless you are locked on.

This is a great game in the same vein as Vampire Survivors but with cards. If you like board games this is also something you'd love to just burn time.

TLDR: It is better than Hades in terms of game play and the story is great. I have no idea how I didn't find this game sooner, but I got it at a good time with the co-op coming out.

I play a lot of rogue-lite's and this one is by far the best in terms of mechanics. You slowly unlock attacks as you level each character, You attacks can be modified with Runes, such as turning fan of blades into cone of blades or explosive blades. there are single use consumables which add additional finesse and strategy to your runs. You can open random chests with shards you pick-up or spend multiple shards to buy from the vendor. There are tons of little story missions that add more types of game play and expand the world through these tidbits of information.

Controls: 9/10 - Could use some better default keys for abilities. Hard to play for left-handers without moving some around.
Graphics/Style: 10/10 - Graphics are pixelated well and the visuals are easily understandable and don't get lost with the decreased definition.
Gameplay: 9/10 - I have spent around 20hrs just in the first area on Hard difficulty and I am still finding new things and pieces of the story. If you beat the main story you can play an endless mode. There are 7 or 8 different characters you can play that all fill their own unique role such as rogue, tank, bow, and caster to name a few.
Story: 8/10 - Fully narrated, but no voice overs for the character. The writing is great and really draws you in and makes you root for each characters unique background.
Completeness: 10/10 - This game is fully released with the last milestone being reached with co-op.
