a really fun, somewhat short jrpg. has a really interesting battle system that makes things active and fast. trims a lot what you would find in a traditional jrpg but i think thats for the best in this case, as it forces you to focus on the wait system this game has. story is very simple but charming. plays deep into cliches but has fun with them for 2$ and about 4-8hrs, its extremely entertaining. my only main gripe is you cant skip cutscenes

its... good.
to some people thats a good thing or a bad thing. so to make a tl;dr, its a good game and you should get it and explore what they halcyon has to offer. there just wasnt anything to leap from a good game to a great game to me.
story is good but there were no real teeth that really grabbed me and throw me in for a loop. the story ends almost exactly its been set up to you.
the gameplay is good, but its just there.
companions feel lopsided. some are fleshed out and have very long personal quests, while some are just feel like an afterthought.
game has good visuals, sometimes gorgeous, but most of the time its fine.
overall its a good game, but felt like i just stomped my way through the game by just pumping persuade/lie and long guns.
really wish those aliens were real.
