No.

There's nothing explicitly against it unless it's in violation of Steam's ToS. But ultimately it is a form of "trust trading" where items can't be traded securely with one another, so exercise the same caution you typically would with these types of trade.

Are awarding steam points allowed as trade items in Traders Guild?

Most "bans" are typically getting kicked from the group. There's no temporary bans like the discussion forums have. If you'd like to speak with the person who kicked you, please speak with Mookie. Mookie handles the vast majority of member removals from the group.

Just noting, those are phishing spam accounts if you see comments of "Add me" or "friend me" for "future games". They're trying to be friendly now, but they'll find a way to scrape your info once they're your friend. Had someone recently send me a tournament invite but it was to a website emulating a browser so it could key-log credentials when you sign in through steam on the website because it doesn't actually redirect you.

Again, as a repeat of my last comment, please beware of phishing accounts adding you, and do not add anyone who claims they "cannot add you", they can add you themselves. It's all a phishing scam. The only people who will sincerely add you will be people you already know who will tell you if they're adding you by something such as email/username. Or people you've recently played a game with. Don't link any non-official steam links they provide, no matter how appealing it may seem. Google sites they offer to send you to. If you can't find any information on the site, it's probably a scam site. Any site with an ounce of reputation behind it ends up on google, scam sites don't end up on google without people posting about it being a scam site too.

Because I get comments from spam accounts, this is to make sure no one else falls for them. DO NOT CLICK any links in my comment section. No one needs you to go to their profile to add them, they can add you. There are dozens of phishing links being circulated around to look like steam links or harmless promotions. Your steam information can be taken at minimum, or worse, actual identity fraud if you get sucked in far enough. Links in my description are genuine steam links directed to trade offers and Trader's Guild discussion board.

probably Mookie blocked me, I see that he has a private profile and if I try to add him it says that the communications with that user are blocked :c

thanks for the advice, I posted the link of my group cause I posted lots of different trades in other group and for me is easyer to edit a single post with the rules instead of 10 different posts. anyway my group is closed and anyone can join but if it's an infraction I'll remove the link and post the rules in the trade. I'll message Mookie anyway, thanks a lot ^^

I looked into it, I don't see any major infractions to the rules. There's an occassional repeated day post, there's a 12 hour rule for bump posting on your trades. The other infraction may be related to posting links towards your personal group under the link "rules". Should just copy and past the code from your rule post into your listing to avoid group promoting within the group. Ultimately though, you'll need to get in contact with Mookie in regards to your ban. We don't handle bans of other moderators/administrators. Staff handle each of the cases on their own with the only exception being if the staff member who issued the enforcement is no longer a staff member, then it goes up to the designated owner/co-owner.

So your best bet for now is to message or add Mookie to discuss that. I'm not familiar with why the "spam bot service" was given as a reason though. If Mookie doesn't get back to you within a few days and you wish to be unbanned, message me again on my comments.

z0neGOD, I can't seem to find any information relating to this ban. I've sifted through pages of logs and can't find your name on anything. If you haven't been banned/kicked, you should be able to just freely rejoin. If you have been though, I cannot invite someone in without evidence of the enforcement and why it was enforced wrongly.

You'll need to refer to Mookie for addressing the ban. I do not have details regarding the ban and cannot act upon it personally. You seem to have already added Mookie according to the comment left on the profile page so I can't suggest anything further to help. Mookie is the one who issued the ban and will be the one to address any concerns regarding it.

I believe I have the same problem as the previous user in this comment section. I get a "no forum available message", so I'm trying an alternative way to contact an administrator for help.

During this month, I've been receiveing messages in my mailbox from people who posted links to external websites. I thought it could be of help if I flagged them as spam.

Yesterday, I was banned by a moderator. I don't know who it was, specifically. The message says "Reason: scam". With no more details.
Needless to say, I never scammed anybody.
In fact, last time I posted anything in Traders Guild's forums it was a trade offer for winter sale cards, back in 2015. Or maybe even 2014. I can't remember anymore. I only use the group for trade offers posted by others, these days.
I believe there's a misunderstanding.

I contacted the moderator who issued the ban and I'll try to get more information about it. I think it may be a mistake. As a rule of thumb, outside from the owner, no one else can alter another person's administration action on a user. I'll let you know if any changes come from this.

I tried your links for Traders Guild ban appeals, but I get "Error ... No forum available". The ban appeal sub forum seems to only be viewable by members.

I went to report this referral spam post http://v1.steam.hlxgame.cc/groups/TradersGuild/discussions/0/1488861734100912983/ like several I have reported in Traders Guild and other groups, and saw a notice that I was banned. I think maybe a moderator accidentally banned me instead of the account that posted an earlier referral spam that I reported.

I don't think you quite understand what I've stated. As far as my knowledge goes and what the records are showing me, you've never been banned. If you are truly banned, then I have no idea of when, who, or why for that matter either. There are no forum records of a ban appeal either. Your best option really is just to try with the head of the group, Mookie. I can't help in the matter any further, I've done my best to look into it but can't find any information at all. I'm more than glad to direct people to the proper administrator/moderator in ban cases, but I can't even do as little as that right now with the information available.

So theres nothing on the reason why I was banned then? Can you at least check who banned me so I can talk to them? Thanks a bunch!

I've gone through the past 3000 records of group activity and can't find anything. Nothing was found in the database for chat bans either. And nothing is found as record in the discussions. Topics and discussions can be deleted but admins will see deleted topics of any kind. And activity such as bans and group removals can't be adjusted either, they're set in stone in record. The only exception is if this happened longer than the Steam record shows, which would be the first of the year.

I would like to know which admin banned me from Traders guild. I already talked to Bunny but he pulled some shady stuff on me and I was hoping to talk to a reliable admin

I got banned from Traders guild. Apparentely I got banned by the bunny guy. He also blocked me on steam. I had a post where I was selling games that I would buy on demand (being cd keys). And without any warning or even a kick before I got permanently banned. Unauthorized resellers? Wow. It doesn't even says in the rules if the games need to be bought directly from steam or not.

was kicked and banned from traders guild group for simply posting i have a game for trade for a dark souls 1 prepare to die edition. i did not know trading was against the rules in the trading guild.... and even if i broke a rule, the groups rules clearly state-
Failure to comply with the rules will result in a kick. Repeated or serious offenses will result in a ban. i was not warned. just banned for nothing. can you get this fixed for me? i am guessing this is a complete mistake.

As for the ban, I did not request to lift the ban whatsoever.
It is my fault for not reading the forum rules and I am fully sorry about it.

It's not about you posting a giveaway, it was you advertising an external website without approval of administration. Any non-Steam affiliated site may be considered malicious.
