Only played aviation side so all I can say is it is amazing for all those interested in world war aviation. Not the best fidelity, but certainly lots of content. I wouldn't consider sim battles to be as realistic as DCS or IL2, I would class it as a semi-sim like what forza would be for the racing community. Still great fun and definitely worth it.

I've had a great time with arma 3. Playing the life mods and trying out all sorts. Bar from the life community, the arma community is wonderful, diverse and has a great set of mods to enjoy. I would recommend this game but I would not recommend it as a military simulator anymore, simply for the fact the game hasn't aged well. The graphics are quite outdated. the sounds are poor(JSRS mod can improve this) The ragdolls are ridiculous and physics in general are just not up to date anymore. That doesn't mean you can't have fun playing it as a military sim, it's just not as great as some of the newer games such as squad. I think the ease of mods makes this game really what it is.

Let's just say it's not entirely clear what your character is gonna say or do when you pick an option.
The game has a good story and I would recommend it to fill you in when playing the later games obviously, but it's not great in comparison to season 1 or 2.

If you love Squad, and you love WW2. This game is amazing. But the only complaint I have is that It's unoptimised. Don't expect to get anywhere near 60fps on max if you don't have a 1080ti.
With my 1080ti I run on high settings 1440p and range from 45 - 70 fps depending on the scene.

Wow. Absolutely amazing. A really friendly community and amazing gunplay. I also cannot explain how great the sound effects are! I admit, it is a little bit expensive for what it is, and it is almost a necessity to have a mic. But if you're really into realistic shooters, I guarantee you will love this game.
