I thoroughly enjoy grand strategy and 4x games, but this one had me frustrated. I was hoping it would be a cool amalgamation but it's not. It is very convoluted, and the AI is brutal, being an isolationist is not an option here. Clicking the end turn button seemed more like a chore than anything else. The game itself is beautiful, and the graphics are great. I’ve got a 2080 super and frame rates were all over the place. There were a handful of bugs (not game breaking) but you would think a game that is three years old would have been hammered out by now.

This was my first game on Steam, I got it after my Playstation 3 Broke in 2013. I have a huge nostalgic connection with this game, It has a gripping story on a level like no other at the time.I felt like I was Vito Scaletta trying to become a wiseguy, and make a name for myself. I stayed up one whole night playing it once because I wanted to see what happened next. The world is fully flushed out, a lot of time into the game, with knock off cars, and soda brands is very clever. The huge lacking problem with the game is the lack of replayability, 2K did a good job with the main story and the game is very polished but once you have finished the game you might as well as uninstall it. The modding scene is there adding an open world but there is nothing keeping you to continue to play the game. I try to play it but It now, but it just doesn't have the GTA grab of the open world that Empire Bay wholeheartedly deserves.

War Thunder allows you to strap into a fighter, cast off on a warship, and blast through the enemy on a tank. This game is a great combination with transition between the three options. Updated are happening all the time. Initially this game started out as a WW2 tank sim, but now it has expanded into the cold war! there is much to do. This game is a bit grindy but it's free! It wouldn't hurt to add it to your games list.

Fallout 3 was my fist in introduction to the Fallout series, but I thought I would take a stab at the original and I was expecting something else entirely. Fallout Is a confusing but rewarding game. It was very hard to get used to in the beginning, but the story kept me going, having a task to get the water purification system for the vault which leads to more than you bargained for. The Fallout charm of the series that is synonymous begins here. Even though its graphics and isometric point and click controls are dated, confusing and not the standard anymore, it introduces a unique variate to your play style. The soundtrack on this is killer, I really feel eerie and off put but the tracks, Ron Perlman with "war, war never changes makes me excited to immerse myself in the world by listening to his voice. Fallout is a classic that must be enjoyed by all fans of the series.

Euro Truck simulator was a real treat, but I was ALWAYS getting tickets, I thought it was ok to turn left on a red if I was on the left side of the road? Confusing layouts and small areas that were fun, but it just felt weird inside. American Trucking Simulator changes that! No more shall us Americans get pointless tickets that we don’t understand or back up in needlessly tight areas. Where everything is bigger in America! This new addition to the driving sim scene is nice, it may have the same engine, and similar graphics compared to euro truck simulator, but this is a new take in America. It feels cool to be able to drive in your hometown. Many states are being added in via DLC. I hope for Canada to be an official DLC instead of a mod, which there is plenty of.

Rockstar is one of my favorite video game companies, and thus produced another world class game. GTA is a common household name and will continue to be so with this new edition. This game blows so much from GTA IV out of the water, expanding on almost everything, not only giving us a great story but 3 stories all intertwined in some way. These characters all have a unique backstory and its fun to change your character whenever. When this game initially came out for consoles it was great but one year later it came out for PC and it was a HUGE update of almost everything. Modding is a little confusing at first but it is very rewarding. Every thug to boss will love this entry and use it to experiment their dream crimes from simple stickups to bank heists.

There are few naval simulators out on the market and the few that are can be confusing and hard to understand. Silent hunter 4 came on to the scene in 2007 by Ubisoft improving on their previous game and instead of having a copy paste with new graphics they change the scene. The previous game took place in the Atlantic, a new breath of fresh air is brought in to take pace in the pacific. You can now take command of an American Submarine and go after the Japanese. This game is a real treat, sneaking up on a convoy makes you feel like a wolf stalking its prey. When you offload your torpedoes, you feel your heart pound after the warships begin to look for you. This game has an amazing modding community with mods ranging from WW1 to cold war ships and scenarios.

What’s more fun than sitting back a killing some Nazis? No really… What is? Wolfenstein: New Order is a perfect blend of sci-fi and historical fiction. B.J. Blazkowicz finally has a voice and I love it! This comedic badass kills these guys for fun and always has something to say. This epic story begins in an alternate time in where the Nazis won the Second World War. It is your turn to take the Nazis down. id software got this one right with great gun play, I get a real warm and fuzzy feeling having Nazis get a nice shotgun blast to the face. There are surprisingly some dynamic situations that you find yourself in and need to make some spit second decisions in. Get this game and wipe out the Nazi sum!

Enemy Front is a different shooter, a linear game but it has its moments of choice that I enjoy. Some of these choices can affect the game down the road, nothing major but having a second or third playthrough with minor changes keeps the game fresh. Defiantly not your average Second World War shooter, where a noble American kills Nazis, this shows more of a human face in war. Not many people know about the Polish side of the war, and this sheds some light on the brave men and woman who fought the German occupation in Poland. This has a deep intriguing story that will tend to our human side and our historical side. The Psychologist in us will enjoy looking into the human side of war.

Oblivion came to the scene in a time of ugly browns and “realistic” games Bethesda turned the tables on the standard and everyone was amazed. Sporting a beautiful lush landscape of the time and a believable fantasy world. When I heard Patrick Stewart’s voice in the opening I nearly lost it, the voice acting was top not for that time, a completely different world than that of Morowind’s “dialogs” The soundtrack is another masterpiece that makes me feel like the Hero of Kvatch to help make the Empire a great again! This is where I feel modding took off on PC There are many great mods on here and some are even updated today. If any other reason to get this game is so that you can play Oblivion in Skyrim.
