I had to force myself to finish this. I wasn't a big fan of Outlast 1, since the second half of the game was kinda boring to me, but this bored me on an entirely different level. I just can't recommend it. Again, Outlast 1 is better even with its flaws, this is just lazy weak jumpscares, a bunch of very VERY slow moments with restricted movements, a story that I just didn't care enough to follow, and I can't count how many times I rolled my eyes or sighed at some of the stuff in there.
To avoid, keep it to the first one.

A breath of fresh air after AAA companies releases being bland and boring.

100% better when played in co-op, the game is built around that, so while solo is possible, it will not be as enjoyable as bringing some friends to play together, or join public lobbies.
It plays similarly to Deep Rock Galactic, having repetitive set objectives, but different maps and distribution of patrols, nest/factories or the objectives themselves.
The difficulty will mostly increase the likeliness to encounter more enemies, and stronger units.

The devs are very active, patching the game very often, while adding content, releasing balance changes, and making the game alive with a human Game Master, deciding the community goals for the players.

There is some sort of battlepass system, named "Warbond", but those are not limited in time. They will stay even after multiple newer Warbonds, they will always be accessible and you will be able to spend your "medals" (currency used to unlock content in the Warbond) however you'd like across all of them.
To be noted, the Premium part of the Warbond requires "Supercredits" to unlock, a currency that can be bought with your hard earned money, but this is ENTIRELY OPTIONAL. That currency can be easily earned through the game, so easily that I fail to understand why would anyone spend money to get Supercredits to start with.

For anticheat concerns, it being a rootkit, this is not an issue. If someone wanted to break your computer, or do something malicious to it, there is much simpler ways to do it than through that anticheat system. It's the equivalent of saying "flu can kill you", which it can, but just like breathing fresh air and dying of old age. The anticheat is fine, a bit of research can help you on that topic.

Also, the CEO of Arrowhead is incredibly transparent on the social medias, it's very surprising. Go look at their Twitter, this guy is amazing.

Early Access Review
One of the best co-op experience I've had recently, between laughs and screams, this baby is a steal for only 10$. So, soooo good with friends.

A must play. Don't have to say much more about this one. Deserves all your money.
