Ever since I became a Zorro fan back in 2010, I always wanted a fun video game experience of the franchise. Zorro as a character is perfect for a video game, but for some reason, every attempt to make one, from the 80's, 90's, 2000's and 2010's, has been a flop. Each of them struggled how to make a compelling swashbuckling game experience, and to capture the spirit of the franchise.

Zorro: The Chronicles, released today, solves every problem with Zorro video games. Based on the 2015 cartoon of the same name, I was initially cautious but optimistic for it's release, especially after it was delayed. But now that it's come out, I can safely say this is not only a really fun Zorro experience for adults, but it could be the definitive Zorro experience for children ages 6-11. It's also really fun for fans of games like the Batman Arkham franchise, or Assassin's Creed.

PROS:
The swordplay is buttery-smooth. Attacking, blocking, rolling, finishers and parries all have a place in the game, and fighting enemies isn't too easy or too hard.

Zorro: The Chronicles has an amazing stealth system that offers unique challenges and puzzles to players, encouraging them to think smarter, not harder, and evade the enemy.

The game has a charming sense of humor that while not laugh-out-loud funny, is sure to bring out a few chuckles.

Diverse enemy types allow for the game to have unique challenges, as well as giving the super move function a very handy utility.

CONS:

No voice acting, which makes the world feel a little less alive

No co-op/multiplayer functions, which makes games way less fun for the family

A little overpriced. If you want, wait for a sale.

Ultimately, I recommend you get this game, as it is a huge blast to play, with very few flaws. Until next time amigos, ADIOS!

It's rough right now, but so far it's a fun little game, and I think more should give it a chance.

As for some advice to the developer, you're going good so far, all I think is needed are a few more weapons, but other than that, and a current lack of players, the game is pretty fun.

I am still new to this game, but I rather like it. Si, I chose it at first because Masked Ruby looked like Zorro, but I now see it as a fun alternative to Super Smash Brothers that could easily grow it's own community. I hope more players come to this game in the future, especially with more and more content being added to it.

New review:

Verdun was once a good game, a long time ago. Back in 2013-2015 and even into early 2016, Verdun was a fun, awesome game. The gameplay had a nice balance between historical accuracy and fun, and both fans of history and those with a thirst for competitive combat could cut their teeth in the trenches. While there was a small amount of weaponry, it had a lot of charm to it, like the Ruby, my personal favorite gun, which was a lightning-fast killer, the Webley which served as the Verdun Deagle, or the legendary Kar. 98az that could mow down entire teams.

Verdun once had a large competitive fanbase, filled with many clans. I myself belonged to one or two of them. We all fought in tournaments, not for money, but for the sport of it. The Verdun clans pubstomped as they pleased, and we all had fun at the game due to how it was easy to learn, but difficult to master.

All that's gone now... all the guns are useless, all the fun mechanics are gone and replaced with "REALISM" to appease to armchair historians, and all the clan players are gone. They protested the new changes and the developers banned us all from any Verdun social media. Now only those who praise them are allowed.

Rest in Peace Verdun:

2013-2017

I will miss you...

Old review:

this game... is perfect. other than some preformance issues, which are being eraticated as we speak, it is the ultimate first person shooter.

"So, i own this bum game and i cant stand movements and recoil crap, but this is a lesser issue than that, i mean this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Eterosexual bane, mostly cause every player is Male and they need to get rid of their sexual needs somehow, and that obiviously mean every player had an homosexual experience at least once. Im going refund this crap before homosexuality get me too. Whoever thinks this is a good game is clearly"

DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE IDIOTS FROM THE NEGETIVE REVIEWS

they are just upset that they are "forced" to pay for something OPTIONAL!

anyways, the game is a bit like killing floor, for having a small amount of players fight against a large group of foes. payday 2 has tons of maps, each with a unique objective to finish, like breaking an old chum out of prison, or killing a russian mob boss. there are tons of masks, weapons, and skills to create your own unique character. the game is contantly updated, which means you will always get something new to play with.

(and yes, i have to admit, for all the people who hate the skins, adding buffs to them is stupid, but there is no reason to quit the entire game. overkill probably just changed their minds about microtransactions instead of "lying")
