So far, its more monster hunter. It feels good, the fps can be a little rough in places, but hey its a good looking game.

Probably worth it on sale. or if youre a big fan of the series then just pick it up.

Well, Krafton did it already. Less then 6 months after the company is sold, they have gone back on their promise to purchases all the way from the start, that they would not be selling classes or expansions. Figures, krafton wants to make back some of the money they spent for the game dies entirely.
BUT LET ME BE CLEAR.

The issue is not that they need money. It is purely the fact that we are 2 years past 1.0 launch, and they still have not achieved the content that was supposed to accompany the 1.0 release. They have consistently shown they cannot and do not meet timelines or expections they set forward themselves. The game looks, feels, and sounds old and dated compared to all its competitors. The classes are have bugs, lying tooltips, and typos throughout. And they want to sell us a new class? They cant even make the ones they have decent.

EHG has destroyed any trust the players had in them, but we knew this would happen. They sold it to Krafton after all, and they dont get the final say anymore.

If you own the game, play the seasons. Hopefully you have fun.

But if you are looking at purchasing the game, i would NOT recommend this game anymore. It frankly isnt worth it and we should not support this kind of action. I would have rather they just make the game fully offline and kill it, then watch the entire reputation of the EHG team, and last epoch as a whole turn into this garbage.

OLD:
After a rocky launch, the game is pretty much stable, and playable with friends and solo. I think its time for me to give my true thoughts about the game, and that is that I love it.

This game is great, and continues to get better. The new systems introduced in 1.0 are wonderful and allow for additional target farming or trade systems for those who enjoy the community driven aspect of a game like Path of Exile.

The game play is fun, the combat feels meaty and strong. The graphical improvement have been wonderful and the game looks and feels better than ever.

For people who enjoyed Diablo but found it slightly too 'dumbed down' or enjoyed Path of Exile but are looking for something that doesn't require the same level of optimisation and learning to participate, give this game a shot.

As for the dev team. I was hurt and annoyed by the launch, mainly because features such as multiplayer did not work for days on end. But I never lost faith that they would fix it, and do right by the community. Judd is a fantastic voice for the game, and his open and honest dialog with the community should be noted by other developers. The game is here to stay, and I have faith that there was good reasons for a blundered launch like this, and now that the teething pains have passed, EHG will continue to produce a fantastic product.

If you're on the fence, just do yourself a favour and try it. I highly doubt you'll regret it.

Old Review:
Played 250h+ in Early Access. If you asked me last week, I would have recommended the game in a heartbeat. At this stage, the game is unplayable. Multiplayer and online services are are totally flop. Communication is great from the dev team, but being told repeatedly that the issue is being worked on is cheap talk if nothing changes. The game is still for sale, and they are happy to take your money on false promises for a non functional product.

At this stage, don't buy it. Wait for the game to improve and purchase it on sale. That's really all I can say.

Played a decent amount of Divinity Original Sin 2, and quite a lot of tabletop D&D. This game captures so well many things that are fun about tabletop D&D, while making it simple and approachable enough for a casual player. You really get to feel like your choices matter, and every play through is different. Even though items are not randomized, because of the high difference in play through, even as simple as different companions makes items that were previously trash suddenly extremely valuble. This switches up the game and creates a dynamic and interesting game, which I highly recommend trying. Even so much so that I would suggest buying it while NOT on sale, to give a larger cut to the developers.
