Steam version of this game has several bugs that other platforms don't, mainly with account sign ins. Buy it directly from Activision or skip this one.

The combat is really thrilling and the art style is just the right amount of over the top. The graphics look nice and it runs pretty nicely. The micro transactions don't seem that bad so far, but time will tell how that goes.

Story 5.5/10: Very bland villain and several cringe characters, although some of the missions were interesting.
Graphics 9/10: Beautiful graphics for the time it was released and is well optimized, will likely return to this title just to be in the game world.
Gameplay 8/10: Classic FarCry open world RPG-lite gameplay with tonnes of enemy bases, platforming sections, weapons and vehicles to enjoy. Very fun stealth/FPS gameplay. The less than brilliant AI and prevalence of animal attacks in the wild bring down the otherwise fun gameplay. Though it can feel a bit safe and repetitive to veterans of the FarCry series.

Very fun gameplay, A bit like (faster) Halo mixed with Portal. I like to imagine the game as some sort of sport/game for entertainment inside of the Halo Universe. A big positive is there are no pay to win aspects at time of writing. The Halo themed cosmetics are great but some of the other cosmetics are bit cheezy/out there for my taste. Another small nitpick is the layout of the challenges menu, you have to click through several tabs and click on every reward individually. My favorite modes are Sniper/Shotty, SWAT, Oddball and Splitball.

Splitgate is certainly worth a try if you are an FPS fan, i'll be coming back to the game as more updates roll out.

Sure it would be great if the game would actually start...

Good immersion in rally mode, non existent AI in rally cross is a joke though. Dont buy if you want for Rally Cross mode because the buggy AI and often broken or cutable track limits make RallyX pretty bad. The AI feels like the game is still in early access. Also the suspension has alot of bugs which makes the maps with jumps have an element on randomness.

One of the best games.
