The best Borderlands game since 2, even going so far as to surpass it in most regards.

Performance is the only real downside, but in just the 2 week since launch 3 major performance patches have released, addressing several issues and improving the experience significantly overall. There is still a long way to go, but to see the devs acknowlege the issues and work on them this fast gives me a better hope for the future then some of Capcoms recent PC offerings effectively left out to rot, being over 6 months from their launch and no issues are fixed.

Monster Hunter was one of the most consistent franchisees out there. Nearly every release we nearly perfect from game quality, to performance.

That is no longer the case.

Monster Hunter Wilds is arguably the Best Monster Hunter has ever been. Fights are fast, fun, and engaging. Weapons feel better than ever. Difficulty will always be subjective, and I believe that Wilds has found a happy medium. And nearly every monster is fun to fight and interact with.

However, Nearly everything else is either a letdown or or renders the game largely unfun or unplayable. Performance is one of the absolute worst I have seen from a modern AAA game on PC. Even DD2 ran better and was fixed faster then Wilds is now. Even on extremely high end hardware, the game struggles to run without Frame Generation. And With Frame Gen on, results in an EXTREME amount of artifacting and blur across the entire game. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Frame Gen was developed to smooth out frames at the extreme high end, Pushing 90+ FPS closer towards 120, resulting on nearly no noticable differences. This tech was not designed to be a crutch for Publishers to see as acceptable performance.

Fixes and optimization would help drastically, but will ultimately be too little too late, and if DD2 is anything to go by, will likely never truly get the game into a truly presentable state.

Monster Hunter World is a beautiful game. Go play it instead of Wilds for the time being.

Awful Optimization. Then, even if you make it to the gameplay, issues are abound. slow and repetitive story quests.

Just play The Witcher 3, Skyrim, or even just Dragons Dogma 1. Anything is honestly better atm.

Not much else can be said for this game without spoilers. This is a special game that should stay with people long after they have played it.
