I followed this game from back when it was called "Dandelion", you can still find the original steam game page. This may not seem valid considering the new information and screen grabs provided by devs but this was not the game I was hyped up to play.

In all honesty I was more annoyed trying to actually figure out if that game was going to come along, so I leave it simply that if you ended up here, thinking that this was going to be the "Dandelion" game you'd seen. It is not, sadly it might be amongst this somewhere in some form, however that is what I wanted to play and not all this other folder navigation, EXE, Jpeg nonsense. This may be a great game but for me the disappointment hit too hard too quickly when I tried it.

I thought maybe, just maybe, I can hold back and just 'pretend' I'm enjoying this?
Wow, look at the new guns, golly gosh isn't this heist unique.

The top and bottom is the game is still in a bad state.
The guns are easily the new meta, who cares though, I can't get a match to use them properly.
The heist is only accessible, if you own it or via invite, so pubs are struck out thanks to the way the game functions from servers. Frankly, it's a poor heist too, it's very short and linear not that you can easily try before you buy without spending an hour on the discussion boards.

We all know the price is a problem too. At this point I have to assume Overkill has lost control and some utter fool who knows nothing about game development and marketing has taken over. I pray this game will recover but I can't see a light for this game at the end of the tunnel, what I do know is gouging the remaining players is not the way to do it.

I hate that this is ultimately what I've waited years for because it's exactly what I wanted but executed so badly, do better.

With some very considerate steps in a relatively correct direction, Payday 3 is starting to "feel" a lot more like it's previous installment. Realistically can we justify allowing this game to proceed, on the odd moment where it manages to tweak a newly implemented system so it feels familiar to a veteran player?

As of this review, my playtime stands at 8.1 hours for a "normal" difficulty playthrough

Really this game has very few flaws, I'll address them in a moment but if you're looking for a SOLID single player campaign game, you best believe this is the one you've been waiting for. For an overview the game has decent length with a medium amount of replay value dependant on how much you explore. The characters, enemies and environments are really creative, each portion of the map is so unique and interesting and the puppets that inhabit it seem so unique, each with a quirk that can catch you off guard. The puzzles are fantastic as well, not stupid hard like some games but clever and require some leg work, in a good way and the secret puzzles are just that bit more special. The gunplay is pretty good, good enough I'd say for the amount of time you'll focus on this aspect of the game. It's pretty scary on occasion, probably horrifying if you don't like puppets however I don't fit that bill and yet I still found myself with the odd excessive jump out my seat. The story is superb as well, honestly I don't want to spoil any of it, it's not particularly complex but it's so compelling and tugs on your heart at some points. Everything else is a bonus honestly, a great inventory and storage system, great soundtrack, great atmosphere, great voice actors, really easy to get into playing and runs like a dream, I played this on a 2021 Razer gaming laptop, on BATTERY i might add with no stuttering!

If that's sold you, then you won't regret buying this, however if you are weary of my issues, then carry on reading to see my small bothers with this game.

Personally I hated the melee combat, it's so bad it's insane, I found it forced me to be more resourceful rather than resort to my wrench. Only 4 weapons and a throwable too!? 1 weapon is secret, 1 is melee, I spent the whole game swapping 2 weapons. Yeah, it's not bad but come on. A few animation glitches killed the buzz a tiny bit for me as they were at quite impacting moments. Finally some of the hidden puzzles are just silly, without guides most people would miss them.

Well, you've seen my issues, see how unimportant they are? I feel I need to mention them but are they that bad? No, so, get this game bought and have a great time playing it! Easy 10/10, may top game of 2023 so far

Clearly the negative reviews don't know what they're talking about

First, 7 days premium, a unique camo for a standard tank, a tier 6 premium, full 100% crew and 5xp tokens, on sale, that's a fantastic deal. Second, it's a unique KV-2, it's the seal clubbing beast we all know and love, one shotting extra credits straight into your account and bouncing free XP through your tech trees. Anyone saying that this doesn't steam roll even in a tier 6-8 match doesn't know how to actually play this tank. To top it off, even if you don't follow Warhammer like myself, the tank still looks dope, on a sale this is one to buy.

Somehow, my main issue doesn't seem to be raised here, I don't care about Paywalls however I didn't want to be GIVEN this gun, nor the skull shaker. Why not mesh it into the game, if the merchant sells me it I've worked for it and that's how it should be. Even if they hid it like the Red9, it's just a bit poor giving me such a good gun so early.

But yes, the gun is good, yes it will help wading through challenge mode, yes I keep buying it back every time I sell it but that's not the point here.
