If Xcom and Civilization had a love child, it would be this game!

Very fun to play and an AI that will keep the game challenging

Amazing game, similar formula to Fire Emblem but with its own uniqueness. Great balance of strategy and a lot of fun to play.

Very Xcommy, The new breach mode is a great addition to the game play.

Feels like if XCOM was cops.

As the characters are preset, there is a lot of conversation and banter between XCOM agents which makes the sotry of this game much deeper than other XCOM titles, and the dialog between battles depends on who you bring with you so countless combinations must have been recorded in order to do that

Great value for money

Not much time played because there isn't a lot yet.

Good hopes for the devs to make this a rich game.

Needs more class types such as teaching science, maths or english in different classes with teachers assgned. A curriculum editor and a school gym.

For what was is currently here in its early develoupment was cirtainly enjoyable but long way to go before its worth the £14.99

Had this game a while now and the developers really work hard adding to the game!

The best open sand box game I have played by far. Get this game if you are into games that require thought and planning.

As the game has got a lot bigger I would say the reccomended graphics card of a GTX660 is probably out of date as I was running on that card at fairly high specs but with some lag. I now have a GTX 950 and the game is smooth even with the addition of planets.

10/10

Played a few times now.

I have played civ 3, 4 and revolution but missed out 5. So playing this version was quite a shock at first as there are a lot of features adapted from civ 5.

Once I got my head round that I really started to enjoy the game. It makes a real good change from the usual theme of its previous series (how many times can the same game be released with the same content? If the next civ wasn't this one you could name 90% of the building techs and units before you even play it!) by giving an entire new lease of life.

Main Pros are the new Tech web means you can research any line you wish, alowing you to adapt to the flow of the game rather then researching everything. In fact I havent played any games that let me come close to researching everything yet as there is so much!

There are also different ways to win the game which you can adapt to depending on how your game is going. This adds a lot of variety to the game.

Unit upgrading now no longer requires tech but instead requires afinity. You get the affinity from techs or decisions you make but is typically suited to your play style.

Most noticable change (other then the fact your on an alien world and not earth) is that every new building you construct (only the first time) you get a decision a few turns later which gives the building a boost (i.e you could make the building add +1 food or +1 culture) which would apply to all citys that build it.

Ever thought they got the leader specials wrong? In this one you select everything your self. the leaders you play as still have 1 unique bonus each which all seem balanced although I havent tried them all yet. But you get to also choose your landing ship (mainly map revealing bonuses) and also your cargo (your cargo gives an initial bonus when you start the game and even includes starting the game with a worker) All of which really allows you to suit your bonuses around your style of play and not the other way around.

Now for the Cons although I haven't found many atall.

There are no unique units to the leaders anymore however there are units that require high levels of affinity to unlock which usually results in only following one line of unique units.

No more great persons although there are still great generals and some ways to get free techs but no more instabuilds.

Initialy takes some getting used to as some civ veterans might find their old tactics flop here.

All in all I love this game and although I like to play them all this is my new favorite and I hope you enjoy it too! 10/10
