I consider myself an average guitarist. I have played on and off for several years. I think the new rocksmith is excellent. It is adaptive, easy to use, and really does a good job of finding your difficulty level and meeting you there to help you improve. The biggest difference I noticed was that latency is even lower on Rocksmith 2014, almost imperceptible. I have been showing it off to about everyone I can because I like it so much.
