Whilst functionally a fine game, there is nothing "Skate" about this game besides the controls. The game itself is missing too much in comparison to the previous games to currently feel worthwhile, but of course the store works fine. The character customisation is too bland, most all characters look the same, regardless of the designs you choose. The two first characters you meet are both not that interesting, the other two aren't present enough unfortunately. Vee is too talkative, even after disabling her in the settings. All the lines are too "corporate", too "harmless". The NPCs are incredibly boring, unable to interact with them, unable to get any reaction from the besides them moving out of the way when you ride into them.
Nothing about this feels like the original trilogy. I really hope a new mainline instalment will come out of this that actually is worthy of the Skate title.
