It's just something I sometimes hear when people talk about the original The Sims. I think it was something about it being Will Wright's core vision of the game. I'm pretty sure you'll hear about it in most Sims 1 retrospectives.

I tried it seven years back. Even managed to make a couple custom faces.
It was kinda brutal. I nearly couldn't let my sims do anything outside of just barely getting their skills up for their promotions, and keeping their needs above surviving levels- even in the expansion worlds and activities from Hot Date, Vacation, Makin' Magic, etc.
Even though it was really as some say, less of a life sim and more of a statement on consumerism, I still kinda appreciated it.

Well, I've spent 750 hours in The Sims 2, 209 hours in The Sims 4, as well as about 200 more from when it wasn't on Steam, a staggering 2,213 hours in The Sims 3, and a meager 4-6 hours in the original Sims. All the while, I'm certain about half those hours were spent in Create-a-Sim or building things.

So that's a whopping total of around 3,377 hours spent in The Sims series as a whole.

Out of curiosity I was wondering how much time have you spent on the whole series of Sims? I know you probably have spent thousands but an exact number would be greatly appreciated. The main reason why I'm stating here is mainly if anyone else in particular was interested. And so which will make it easier for said thing to be stated here. Thanks in future statement.
