The Good:
- Game world is epic
- Shaders are insanely good looking
- Build system is insanely flexible

- Combat is shallow and, at times, unengaging or unfair
- Traversal, AI, and Combat can be quite buggy and hard to predict
- Gear progression is leveled to the quest/location, making return visits to early game areas very boring.

Final Thoughts:
A charming, diverse, and sometimes frustrating game that will continues to surprise me with rememberable experiences.

If you're looking for a modern, amazing-looking souls-like game, this game is definitely worth a play-through.

Additional Thoughts
I've effectively completed my first play-through of this game (got the radiant ending). As some other reviewers have mentioned, the enemies and their placement can be the most frustrating and genuinely unfair part of this game, and is where this game misses the mark when comparing it to the standard souls-like formula (IMO). It's not that the enemies are particularly challenging, they are just placed in areas that are meant to surprise-KO the player.

I would still recommend this game to a souls-like fan, but it does require a fair bit more patience than a standard souls game.
